It seems like stories like these always come from Spanish players....and way more frequently than with American players. I feel your need to defend Rudy, but why is it that these stories always originate from these players? What the story claims makes sense though. Rudy was sucked in by KP and Nate to come here with the promise of a big role. Now he thinks we're going to reduce his role by bringing in a player that is going to need big minutes. I can see why he'd be angry. (If he was indeed angry)
I've noticed that, too. There seems to be much more of a sense of entitlement to the Spanish players. I have no idea if it's a cultural thing. Considering the extreme lack of insensitivity in the "slanted eyes" team photo prior to Beijing and their response, I'm guessing it is to some degree.
Spain complained so ridiculously much in the Olympic Final that it was embarrassing. They literally had bench players step onto the court to yell at the refs, and on some plays they were whining before the play was even over.

Different culture, they get all fired up and say things out of emotion. This does not mean it will be a long term problem. This is counter to the protestant approach many are used to in the United States. It is a Latin thing.
