Apparently, Kidd is gonna remain in Dallas. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/basketball/nba/07/01/mavs.kidd.ap/index.html
I dunno, y'all. Donnie Nelson called my agent today, I feel like they got a good situation goin in Dallas
A few years ago the Lakers had a young, athletic forward who came off a career year playing with four future hall of famers. He had a career year, felt "disrespected" when the Lakers didn't give him what he wanted and went to Dallas because he thought it was a "good situation."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Devean GEORGE!!!! YOU PAWN!! Ariza is just a teensy bit better than George was then though, LOL
I wonder if the Lakers might make a harder push for Kidd to see if they can lure him away from Dallas. He hasn't signed anything yet, Cuban just feels that he might. If we don't bring back Ariza, why not go for him. He'd work well in the triangle. He's one of the best passers in the league, is an upgrade over Fish on defense, and he's turned himself into one of the better 3 point shooters in the NBA.
But if we do that, we might not be able to sign anyone to fill an immediate need in SF. If we were to sign Odom, his lack of a consistent 3pt or midrange shot is not gonna be good for the SF spot. So I think we need to get someone for the SF spot first before we try for Kidd.
Yeah I think we need to sign a defensive SF to help with perimeter players out there. The triangle can get by a little more without a traditional point guard. Maybe offer the LLE to some point guard, sign and trade, or a regular trade of course.
Hahahaha!! That'd be too long!! lol In this offseason, do we have a realistic chance of upgrading the PG while keeping Odom and Ariza/Signing Artest?
