http://blogs.pe.com/prosports/2009/07/ariza-contract-talks-not-going.html First of all, Trevor's agent, David Lee, is an asshole. He also works for Drew, and if you remember, he demanded a max deal for Bynum, which the Lakers obviously didn't want to pay. It got to the point where Drew told him to just STFU and get a deal done, which is what happened. Now he's at it again. I read he believes Trevor could get a contract around 8-9 million dollars, clearly insane. We'll see how this one works out, but it's obvious he's just a little bitch. Gonna be pretty funny seeing teams with cap space using up their money and Trevor still on the market. There's no way he's getting 8-9 million, Charlie Villanueva, who put up much better numbers statistically, got a deal for 7 million per year. At this point, I'm willing to go out limb and say Trevor is the most overrated free agent on the market, or at least in the eyes of his agent. Gonna be fun watching his agent crawl back like a bitch when he receives no more than MLE offers. But I'm glad to see Mitch isn't getting into a bidding war against himself, like he did against Luke and Sasha. Like I said before, plenty of options on the market.
wanna know the truth? mitch was talking about a 3-4 mil/year offer i love La man, would love to be back...but that's like disrespecting my contributions.
what you talkin about man, i made 3 mil this year and had a career year. i aint playing for no minimum
I love how he keeps bitching to the media instead of doing his job. Negotiating. He did the same shit with Drew last year and look how well that turned out. Trevor, if he wants to come back, and if he is sane (knowing Lee's contract demands are unrealistic) will do what Drew did and tell him to STFU and get a deal done.
You realize Toronto takes 50% of your paycheck. You really want to live in Cleveland instead of LA making the same money? hahahaha
I don't get why they're complaining. Ariza isn't going to get any more then the MLE no matter where he signs, and that's all he's worth. Unless the Lakers are looking at less money or too few of years, he should really shut up and sign a deal.
You got that right! He isn't even a proven long term producer yet. He only produced in a contract year, which isn't really that indicative of success.
