The New York Yankees win over the Seattle Mariners by a score of 4-2. Starting for the Yankees was Andy Pettitte and he got the win. Mariano “Mo” Rivera got the save.

This game went really fast. One of the fastest games I’ve watched.

Andy Pettitte had every thing working and had everything at his disposal. He worked quickly, threw strikes and was effective. This was one of his better games of the year. When he has every thing working, he is like an artist. He was moving the ball around corner to corner and his breaking ball was sharp to the left handed hitters. He was ahead in the count most of the night and stayed away from walks.

The bull pen was outstanding and Phil Coke was really solid. Joe Girardi didn’t go to Bruney or Hughes in the 8th inning because he wanted to mix and match with Aceves against Cedeno and he had Phil Coke finish off Seattle’s lefties. He only wanted Aceves to pitch against one batter. I guess he didn’t want Hughes to pitch to only one batter and he would like Hughes to pitch a whole inning.

Alex hit a bomb and used his lower half. His swing is right mechanically. I fear teams that have to face A-Rod right now.

The Yankees are on such a roll, I don’t know who could beat them. It’s a great feeling knowing that your team is going to win while watching Yankee games. I didn’t have this feeling when they were losing to teams like the Nationals.

Player of the Game: Alex Rodriguez. A-Rod with the A-Bomb.
