    All you guys hoping for Ron, brace yourself. More likely than not your dreams will come crashing to an end up just the rest of the Laker rumors. The only deals that get done for us are the ones nobody talks about. That's how Trev, Pau became Lakers.

    I still say stick by my plan. Sign Grant Hill for the vet's minimum or LLE. He is far from done, just check his stats last year and his FG%. And THEN, use the MLE to upgrade POINT GUARD for once. I have zero confidence Derek will sustain a high level of play for an entire 82 game season, plus playoffs. Shannon is still unproven, though I like him, and Farmar is trash.

    Sign Grant Hill for vet's min or LLE

    Go after Jason Kidd, see if Kobe can convince him to take a paycut. If not, go after Andre Miller or Mike Bibby with the MLE, since they're not getting any higher offers anywhere else.

    PG: (Kidd, Miller, Bibby)/ Fish / Shannon (dump Farmar)
    SG: Kobe / Sasha
    SF: Hill / Luke / Ammo
    PF: Gasol / Odom / JP
    C: Drew / DJ

    Go for that. Ron is a blackhole on offense, his defense is overrated anyways. I'd much rather prefer us use MLE on a PG and get someone like Hill. Hill isn't that big of a drop off from Trevor at all. Again, check the stats. Playing with Kobe/Pau will only make him better. Kidd/Miller/Bibby is a HUGE upgrade over what we've been having at PG for what, the past 10 years?

    but whatever if we get Ron I'd still be excited

    I like my plan MUCH better though. We upgrade at our weakest position tremendously, and no real drop off in talent anywhere else.
