No. He was just one of our FA's. Fuck, Cleveland making a play for Artest. They even had LeBron be a pitchman.
Yeah, I'm glad a good offensive player in Charlie V didn't go to Cleveland. It would suck of Artest landed in Cleveland. >_< SO many teams are going after the good FT's. lol
Anyone else catch Dan Patrick's segment this morning with the guy from SI.com? Here is a quick rundown: -The dude said that he doesn't believe the Lakers will keep both Odom and Ariza. -Lakers will choose Ariza over Odom because of his age and they fully expect Bynum and Gasol to get the majority of minutes next year at the 4 and 5. -Believes the Lakers will eventually cave in and pay Ariza the $6 mil - $7 mil he wants.
I dunno, Odom is our soul of the team. If we lose Ariza we'll get Artest hopefully and our loss wouldn't be so big, maybe even a win. Still who can replace Odom? Fuck it. I like both of them so much
Complete contrast to what I've heard. Lakers absolutely want to re-sign Odom because he gives the chance to repeat. Lakers also want to bring Trevor back and will match any reasonable contract he receives from another team. If they lose Ariza they have some options. Also Shannon Brown should be the next Laker free agent we re-sign.
I trust Shape over Dan Patrick... ROFL doesn't he work for ESPN? Also, 6-7 million for Trevor is around the ballpark of MLE. If he gets that money, why won't we bring back LO? Because some team is going to offer him a 10 million per year contract? Doubt it. He'll most likely settle for MLE offers, and we can sweeten the pot by offering him a 7-8 million per year deal.
Naw, Patrick is on his own now. He has ties with Sports Illustrated, but no more with BSPN. Eh, I'm just reporting what the dude said, I think his name was Chris Moran or something.
Gortat just verbally committed to Dallas for their full MLE $5.6M. This sets the bar for what type of players are getting full-MLE deals. Is Ariza more valuable, less valuable or equal value to Gortat?
PG: Fisher, Brown, Farmar SG: Kobe, Sasha SF: Tru Warier, Walton, AMMO PF: Gasol, Odom, JP C: Drew, DJ Ship AMMO and Jordy out at the deadline since they're expirings for a PG or something. We're set. Sign LO too btw.
All ESPN guys have similar traits. Failure. Ric Bucher is a fool. A while after CBS broke the news (ESPN is slow as fuck, not surprising, they're too busy jacking off to Lebron) he went onto ESPN and said the Cavs are still in the running for Ron. He didn't even know about Ron to LA. What a failure.
The crazy motherfucker: Ron is a straight up soldier. He doesn't back down from anybody. Now with Ron on our team, along with LO (I'm positive he's coming back), we have two guys who won't take shit from anybody. Not to mention we have Kobe, Mr. Balls of Steel Fisher, and Gasol (ask Dwight how soft Pau was in the Finals), this team just went from soft to thug.
