We have to renounce Frye for cap space. I would love to just do a Blake+Outlaw for Hinrich trade but don't see Chicago going for it. Gordon leaving killed our chances of getting Kirk.
Certainly. However, it sounds like KP is probably going to roll with the guys he has at point next year. I really have no idea what kind of trade should be made using Travis in a straight up deal, but assuming it was for a backup power forward, I'd like to see Ronny Turiaf added to the roster.
We don't have to do anything with regard to Frye, he is already a free agent with no connection to the Blazers whatsoever. barfo
Travis and Joel for Chandler in a 3 way with a team who has cap room such as Memphis getting Travis. Gets New Orleans 1 small move away from the lux tax while receiving a serviceable replacement center. Gives us an unstoppable big man rotation with LaMarcus, Oden and Chandler
I consider Joel to be a a push in terms of quality as a defender and rebounder vs. Chandelier, plus he's much cheaper.
Well then that would be a bad trade! I consider Chandler much better on offense. He's still primarily a defender/rebounder, but he is competent on offense whereas Joel forces us to play 4 vs 5.
Come again? Chandler scores off of put backs and the numerous lobs he's received from Chris Paul ... he owes CP3 half of his paycheck in my opinion. Besides did you ever see Pryzbilla run the pick and roll with Damon and Van Exel? You'd almost be half-convinced that Joel is a decent scoring center based on that brief window where we had guards who could run an honest to god pick and roll. EDIT: Hollinger's scouting report only reinforces my point: http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/players/hollinger?playerId=984 Plus here's Chandler and Pryz head to head: http://www.basketball-reference.com...m=0&p1=chandty01&y1=2009&p2=przybjo01&y2=2009 not exactly a slam dunk in Chandler's favor when you factor in Per36 numbers and advanced statistics
Rudy Fernandez would have to be involved. If you want Thomas, just wait until next year. You might be able to get him for the MLE or less if no one offers him an above MLE contract (which is no guarantee with teams being spend happy next summer). Thomas will be next summers BG, not even getting an offer from the Bulls.
