The move I'd like to see is Paul Allen just paying $25 million for the draft rights to Rubio.

I mean yeah it can't happen under the terms of the CBA but neither can any of this.

This thread is titled "Blockbuster IDEA" with Idea being the important word.

I'm just trying to have a bit of fun here - in anticipation of some sort of move that may or may not be made.

KP and Tom Penn impressed me (two years ago) as being creative, out-of-the box thinkers! The literally played the system and made moves that no one had ever heard or thought of!

Personally, I think KP has done himself in. The overreactions earlier in the year over the "memo to the league" regarding Miles, etc. has perhaps hurt his negotiating abilities around the league? Who knows.

I posted an idea - a blockbuster idea.

Shoot - if Cleveland can wind up with Shaq.....if the Spurs can nab Jefferson, the Wizzards - Vince.

What is KP doing? Turk? This is really the best we can (could have) done? Maybe so? I was greatly disappointed with our lack of moves at draft day. KP needed to get us Rubio or Flynn. Period. Then I would feel better about a Turk signing.

Talks of Miller, Hinrich - come on! Steps backwards in my opinion.

If my post is ridiculous - (no doubt!) perhaps we trade Turk, Outlaw and Bayless and get Marion and Calderon. This would bring players that would fit much better with Roy, Rudy, LMA and Oden.

Just having fun. Don't criticize - contribute to the thread...or pass it by. That's all!

If your trade even worked under the CBA then we could begin to talk about the merits of the idea, but since it doesn't, this whole thread is a bit like debating the merits of a sliding glass door on a submarine. There's literally nothing to talk about.

wasn't really commenting on the replies, but that he'd get a different answer to his own idea than he thinks he would.

How much for that sliding glass door? I am just on my way to buy a bridge I saw for sale on craigslist.

If you're so down on Oden, why not just include him in your offer?.... along with 5 first round picks.... and also, our teams have to switch owners. Then I think we'd be close to a realistic deal.

I wasn't criticizing you, I was just making a comment to the Raptors fan who said you would get a different answer if you posted this in the Raptors forum. I'm assuming he said so because everyone in there would say no to this idea, which is the exact same answer you got here. He made the comment because everyone in the NBA World thinks Blazer fans over value their players, and think KP can pull of anything. Which a lot of them do, but that wasn't the case in this thread. Just wish he would have read the replies before he posted.

I think the guy with the username "Celtic Fan" is actually a Celtics fan, not a Raptors one.
