You know how epic this offseason would be if we could bring back Ariza, Odom, and Brown, too !? LMFAO I can dream. Fisher / Brown / Farmar Kobe / Sasha Artest / Ariza / Walton Gasol / Odom / Powell Bynum / Mbenga Oh man, I'm going to miss Trev.
@ Blazer fans trying to convince themselves this will backfire on us. Ron respects Phil as a coach, he respects this franchise, this organization, Kobe is probably one of the few guys in the league he respects and adores, he's best friends with LO, and we have one of the best locker room leaders in Derek Fisher. But hey, can't blame them. I'd be trying to convince myself the same way if I were a Blazer fan.
He could rethink for a moment if he hears about Ron, but it looks like he's in a little bidding war with NY and Dallas. Maybe we go after some depth later, but I assume signing LO and Shannon will be our first options.
okay. i don't understand NBA athlete's, is really a bit more money more important to them than being a champion? It's obvious Dallas ain't winning in upcoming years, neither is NY.
does anybody think that odom may not return? i really think he should, because, well, no team is going to pay him the 10mil he wants, plus there is another championship team here. im just thinking will the signing of ron ron push odom away? he may want to be a starter? idk, just a thought, im like 90 percent sure odom will be back, but there is always a voice in my head that says 'maybe not'.
I think Odom coming back is pretty much a sure thing. We can probably afford to sign him at his rates of about 8-10M, so it's cool.
Considering LO was texting Ron, along with Kobe to come to LA, I don't think it would make sense if he doesn't come back. Why would he be trying to recruit his BFF to play for the Lakers if he's not coming back?
Btw, I watched Sportscenter for the first time yesterday, since like the 6th grade, to hear Ron's interview. Their intro crap with all the graphics and the spinning logo takes a good 5-7 minutes before the show actually starts. Seriously I was like wtf start the goddamn show. If you don't believe me, tune in and see for yourself. BSPN FAIL.
According to Alex Kennedy, Magic made Turk a 5 year 45 million dollar offer, which was why he turned down the Blazers. If this is true, and he resigns with Orlando, fuck. But also this is great news, if you look at it in a different angle, because that means Lebron bolts for New York next year, and Cleveland fans either jump ship or are left with nothing. Hahahahahaha
