Hollinger makes a lot of sense. A lot of you have been complaining about this signing but Hedo is the best player we could have landed, and he WILL help us. The ammount we spent is meaningless because after this off season we won't have cap space again for many years.

That's a pretty nice summary. He doesn't even really get into the impact Hedo will have on other Blazers besides Rudy. Obviously, he'll be able to deliver a post entry pass to Oden and Aldridge, something we've been lacking. Even more, it's not hard to imagine a lineup of Bayless/Roy/Hedo working for stretches. Bayless sucks at running an offense, but he's fantastic at drawing contact and finishing at the rim. With Hedo and Roy running the show, he just has to find his opportunities to charge full-bore. He never had that sort of freedom while playing next to guys like Outlaw and Batum. It's sort of like watching how much more effective Tony Parker can be when Ginobili is on the floor.
To me, its his ability to stretch the defense that will make the biggest impact. Doubling Brandon will be harder. Oden and LA will have more room down low. Brandon should be able to find the seam more. Its great. Way to go Blazers!!!

Rudy would be fine against quick PG, and would provide a mismatch on the offensive end. It's not like Blake can stop quick PG either, Aaron Brooks anyone?
