There is a better chance of Odom or Smush hitting a wide open 3 than Kobe hitting a 30foot fadeaway over a double, and sometimes even triple team.

Nice pick by Kwame though.
If Kobe gets double teamed than he should try to either split the double team or find the open player which isn't his strength. He needs to get the ball first though I guess.

Maybe he does but once he decides he is going to shoot there is nothing a defense would do to change his mind and therefore my theory on why he shoots so bad in the last minute.

I'm always talking about how Odom initiates the offense and does a good job at it. I'm high on Smush, probably more than anyone on this board. But when you airball wide open shots, miss layups and play terrible defense in crunch time, I'm not going to praise you. Simple as that.
Kobe believes every shots he takes is going in. Sometimes it's a positive and sometimes it's the negative. However i have never seen someone being hounded and doubled like kobe in the clutch, Carmelo was being single covered. Phil needed to double like they did with kobe.He simply does not get the shots other superstars get because1- He's shooting the ball2- Everyone knows he's teamates won't hit it.
If I were to give the ball to anyone late in the game, I'm starting to lean towards giving it to Melo. Has he hit as many big time playoffs shots as Kobe? No. But the thing is, 60% is unparalleled by anyone in league history, and this year Kobe has been dissapointing to say the least late in games. I've always tried t say Melo is simply catching and shooting the ball, but he is making them.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I've always tried t say Melo is simply catching and shooting the ball, but he is making them.</div>Melo has created his own shot in all but a few of his game winning shots. He always creates it for himself. Not sure what you mean by that.

Melo gets easier looks, the only hard looks i remember was against minny and against the suns where he shot over marion and someone else.
This may be a little late, but I would actually go with Chauncey Billups over Pierce and Wade in the fourth.I give Carmelo credit, but I don't think he is the 2nd most clutch in the league.

Pierce is second in the league in 4th quarter scoring (behind kobe-- surprise, surprise), and Billups doesn't have near the pressure that is put on Pierce. Detroit is already in position to win the game every time, Pierce has to play catch-up and come from behind to do anything.
OMGZ lets have a 20 page thread on who is 3rd most clutchest...OMGZ what fun it would be debating such <Censored>!
Jamal Crawford is BIG in the clutch. Pretty underrated in the clutch. Has hit 2 straight clutch shots for the Knicks, both resulting to Ws.
