Melo is definantely the 2nd most clutch player. He doesn't miss in clutch situations. It is just against his religion.

Those numbers are amazingCan we give him his title now?</div>There is no way thats a career chart. Jamaal Crawford, Chris Webber, Dirk, and Mike Bibby would be on there. I know Mike has hit at least 8. for his career. Unless your not counting PO's, but Kobe should still be much higher.
That chart measures the past 3 years including playoffs if I am correct. And Melo, as Balla said, Carmelo is making shots, and creating shots. Being able to jab-step away from the defence and take the open shot is more valuable to me than Kobe shooting an unnecassary 26 footer over 2 players

It does not happen. They usually double him, so either way he's going to miss or it's going to his teamate. Either way he doesn't score. That is why i think this list is ackward.
That's the thing: Kobe doesn't pass to his frickin teammates. It pisses me off. Against New Jersey he passed up a wide open Lamar Odom... He looked in his eyes for God's sake. Same with a few other games this year.

As i said, he believes he can make every shot. However, if he passes or shoots and misses he doesn't score. Carmelo gets easier opputurnites than kobe. And odom is never going to shoot the last shot ever again. He probably wouldn't take it after what happened against sacramento.
If Odomo got the ball, Wide open for 3, with 1 second left, he'd shoot itAnd I don't care that Carmelo gets easier oppurtunities: The man has made 8 gamewinners (Don't remember) this year?
If Odomo got the ball, Wide open for 3, with 1 second left, he'd shoot itIf he had like 5 ticks the ball would go off to kobe. Odom's brain stops in the clutch.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>This may be a little late, but I would actually go with Chauncey Billups over Pierce and Wade in the fourth.I give Carmelo credit, but I don't think he is the 2nd most clutch in the league.</div>Billups is not more clutch than Carmelo.Billups is the most overrated clutch player in the league. Yes I did just say that
Billups does have the luxery of having three other good players who keep the defense honest at the end of games, the Nuggets have NOTHING and everyone knows he's getting the ball.
Kobe's persona is selfish .... and he is feeding off of it. And Kobe LIKES IT!! It's as simple as that. Hes earned his last ring! but he is loving his persona, no matter what people say he needs to do. A white girl might be able to. like the new york lotto "Hey you never know"oh yea he is better than melo at clutch i think

Kobe is selfish. He is willing to pass up an open shot for someone else in order to get a contested shot for himself. That is why he is not an mvp. MVP's are team players and Kobe isn't that. He was that way with Shaq as well.

And there are other times where kobe has passed clutch shots to teamates who could actually hit the shots. Kobe just has trust problems with the new lakers, when odom got his chance to prove how clutch he is he lost the ball and then missed the gamewinner even though the whole play was set for kobe.Mvp's are team players? That is why Mj won the mvp whilst averaging what? 35ppg? Allen iverson won the mvp averaging what? 30ppg? If kobe decided to play like steve nash then where would the lakers be? Seriously? Stop.it's because he's afraid of what kobe would do if he messed up. Kobe takes losing hard, especially if it's one of his teammates screwing upThen Odom is mentally weak. Simple.
Ok I understand your point but still team play is what gets you places. All the best offensive teams have high assist counts. If Kobe was willing to move without the ball more to score than he would be great. Taking the other team 1 on 1 is disheartening to your teammates that they know they will not get the ball. Jordan was shooting at 50% while scoring 35 points while Kobe 44%. 6% is a big difference but I guess comparing Kobe to Jordan is a weak comparison since it isn't close.

Kobe has 51 points, he engages on a semi one on one battle with Bell/Marion and he destroys them. Most of the role players get their shots, none of them connect. Now you may say it's because kobe bryant didn't get them involved but infact from the outset of the game they were missing. Now this is one case but this happens over and over again. There's no such thing as "kobe needs to play teamball" because in some situations that would cause losses. Last night that happened and it was happening mid way through the season. There are some situations where kobe's shooting is a detriment to the team but that is minscular to the times where he has had to carrry this team on his back.Let me make it simple, If kobe decided to play like Steve nash, the lakers would be a 10 win team.edit: About michael jordan, he was not taking the shots kobe were. Kobe's taking alot of midrange shots and 3 pointers. Obviously he's going to have a worse percentage,
