While not a FA do you guys think it would be reasonable for us to after Tayshaun Prince? How attached to him is Detroit after such a dissapointing season, are they going in a different direction? It seems that he would fit as a 3/4 (if we were to move Outlaw for a PG) perfectly and we could still keep Batum and Webster. He would also (along with losing Travis) improve our defense immensely and provide some decent shooting from deep.

They signed Charlie V to use at the 4, and I think that Detroit is still pretty dependent on Prince. If THEY had signed Hedo, then we might be able to get Prince on the cheap.

Maybe just maybe this would work, I'm not sure the Blazers do it though, Kwame has an expiring contract unlike everyone else in this trade.

Prince and Kwame Brown for Joel, Blake, Outlaw.

I think Joel is the kicker and the only reason the Pistons agree and its also the only reason the Blazers would hesitate.

No way. The upgrade you get at SF with TP wouldn't be worth rolling Kwame out there instead of Joel. We can't assume Greg is going to stay healthy and out of foul trouble for 70+ games and if we HAD to rely on Kwame? Ouch.

Also, this plan must assume that you can sign or trade for a starting PG, right? You can't hand that job to Bayless yet.

No way!!! Absolutely not. Unless we can sign Lee too. That would be sick. BUT, then we are short at PG. Big time. But then Roy would play more PG and Rudy would get more minutes. Hmmm...

    Bayless\Mills
    Roy\Rudy\Webster
    Prince\Batum\Cunningham
    LMA\Lee*\Pendergraph
    Oden\Lee*\Brown

    That looks pretty good.

Rudy and possibly even Prince could act as ballhandlers at different points.

Really Bayless starting next year isn't the worst thing as we would find out what we had real quick. Also his job would be three-fold: Defend PG's both on ball and team defense, Push the ball up the court and look for the break 1 man or otherwise, if the break isn't there hand the ball off to Prince/Roy/Rudy depending who is on the floor.

Also if Bayless learned how to get Oden the ball in the post this summer he might be better to have on the floor then Blake.
