IMO- of the remaining Free Agents I think JKidd could help us the most.

Miller- would probably be my next choicse behind Kidd.

Odom's- dedication and disappearing acts concern me.

If we can't land Kidd or Miller, we have no choice but start looking at trades. If Chicago signs AI then we might have a trading partner. Scarey to think how good the top 3 teams in the West got while we have done nothing to improve.

Kidd would help us for a year, then probably turn to dust.

Miller wouldn't help our team at all IMO. Maybe a few years ago when he would have learned the system and grown with it...just don't see him being an impact.

Odom would be ok but we'll start complaining about him the way we do about Outlaw..he's that inconsistent and takes a lot of WTF shots.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Except he makes significantly more of them. Odom's scoring efficiency over the past 5 seasons has been much better than Outlaw's. He's also a FAR better passer than Outlaw and a significantly better rebounder.

Plus, Odom is a good defender.

Personally, Odom is the free agent I would be happiest for Portland to get. I don't think he's an amazing player, but he's quite good and would improve the team significantly.

Odom talent wise is a no brainer. IMO he's every bit as good as Turk, problem is he's not consistent. He doesn't bring it every game. I'm with you if we sign him I wouldn't be upset. I would still like to see us go after Hinrich.

    Hinrich
    Roy
    Odom
    LMA
    Oden

    Pretty damn good starting lineup.......

I agree with you that Kidd would be the best addition. Plus wouldn't it allow you guys to renounce Blake and get a few more million in cap that you could use to sign your backup PF (Bass, Big Baby, Powe, etc.). Odom doesn't really seem like a great fit if a big part of what you're looking for is leadership and/or a veteran presence.

How good the top 3 teams got? Who besides LA and the Spurs did anything to greatly improve their team this off-season?

Doesn't matter how many teams got better all it takes is one. Our goal is championship and 2 teams got considerably better this off season. Lakers and Spurs have to be the Western conference favorites. If the Lakers are able to keep Odom and sign Artest they are going to be an even better team than last year. Now Roy will have Kobe or Artest guarding him for 48 minutes, arguably the two of the best defensive players in the NBA.

Brandon Bass. Cheap, can't expect to start can he? He isn't THAT good. Maybe in a couple years. But I think he is a good pickup and something what we need.

I would also\or like to see Kidd here. But I doubt it. He going to NY

I am warming up to the Odom idea.

I assume you mean NEGATIVE impact, as there's no FA available who would help this team achieve it's goal of a dynasty.
