How many other teams in the league do you think Blake would start for?

My stance on Blake is this: He is an excellent backup but a below average starter.

As to he being the reason we wouldn't win a championship, that's obviously a gross overstatement. Teams have won with subpar starting PGs in the past, and will do it again.

I'm absolutely fine with Steve Blake, sure he choked but he's not going to cost us a ring because we don't have him versus Kirk or Andre.

He can start for the celts and they'll still win. He can start for the Cavs and they'll win. He can start for the L*kers and they'll still win. He can start for the spurs and they'll still win.

He won't cost them a ring if he was on their roster as the starting PG IMO.

They will be amazement. I had no idea that KP could put me to sleep for years and years.

Sorry, Portland is not close to a championship. Way too many holes in their team.

KP has yet to make a real trade. He has traded away malcontents, bad eggs, and bit players, bt never part of his group.

And if/when he makes one, I expect nothing but praise from you no matter how bad it is.

I'm sorry, but unless your defintion of a "point guard" revolves around standing around and puking up shots from beyond the arc, Blake is NOT a PG. If this was an NFL team and Blake was our QB, the coach would just give up and run the single-wing offense.

I wonder how many people said these things to posters in the Bulls forum a few years ago? The baby Bulls were supposed to be awesome, for many years.

Steve McNair went to the super bowl at 25, I think. He never made it back.

The fab 5 was supposedly the greatest recruiting class ever, and never won anything.

Yes, the team is young and full of promise, but that doesn't mean shit really.

There is all kinds of reasons to be happy about Portland, but you have to seperate that from the fact that we should still be trying to get better.

The L*kers (with the triangle) might be the one contender he could start for and not hurt them. If you seriously believe he deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as Rondo or Parker - you need to put down that jug of moonshine!

That wasn't what I was asking, though. I was asking what teams WOULD he start for, as in over their current starting PG. I can't think of very many.

And I disagree about SA, they wouldn't still win with him starting over Parker.

He's not on their level, but he won't make their team non-contenders if he replaced them.

Don't sprinkle in a positive with all your negative comments, it might ruin your rep.

You think the worst all the time and you'll probably get your wish.

And you will get it if it's not Bayless or Batum. Unless of course the player coming back is a young all-star.

Players like Webster, Outlaw Blake, and anyone else not named Brandon, LaMarcus or Greg are easily replacable. Bayless and Batum have already shown they have the capability to be special.

If KP swings and misses with a trade then so be it. I bashed Whitsitt for trading Jermaine because it was widely reported that he killed everyone in practice. Like Roy and others said Bayless did. I didn't think Hedo was the player we shoud have been going after, but he took a swing, and if it would have failed then at least he tried.

they made it to the NBA finals with him as the starting PG. they traded him to get Vince Carter which addressed other more pressing issues.

It seems to me that you are making it awfully tough for KP to meet your requirements. You want him to trade one of his group, but not any of Oden, LMA, Roy, Bayless, or Batum. Webster, Outlaw, and Joel were all here before KP was GM, so I don't think they count as his. Who is left? Just Rudy and Blake. So to make a "real trade", he has to trade one of those two players.

Webster and Joel were both extended by KP. They fall into the his guys category

The baby Bulls never won 54 games. They topped out at 47 wins in an extremely weak Eastern Conference (at that time, it was EXTREMELY weak). They didn't have a player on their roster nearly as good as Brandon Roy. Their highest PER was Tyson Chandler at 16.4 compared to Roy's 24.0. They were not close to the same level as the current Blazers. Two years later, they won 49 games, but they weren't really the baby Bulls anymore as they had let both Chandler and Curry walk and their best big men were a 32-year old Ben Wallace and a 37-year old PJ Brown. That year, Luol Deng was their best player with a PER of 18.7 - still a couple notches below Brandon Roy's 24.0.
