Well post his article already. ;] I heard Toronto offered him 56 million for five years? I thought he was going there. Keep us updated. :]
I dunno Alex said he heard from the local TV station. Who knows. He is also the same guy who reported Ron's Twitter to be fake (when it's real). That the Magic will sign Rasheed (looks like he's going to Boston), that the Magic will look at Artest (signed with us, it was us vs CLE anyways), and reported a rumored three way deal that would land them Chris Bosh, which was false. lol Hopefully this time, he is wrong again!
so it looks as if turk has chosen to go with toronto, which is the best news ive heard all offseason. If he had resigned with the magic i would have been worried, but he signs his career away with the raptors. horrible decision, but whatever i dont care, he is not a problem anymore. this means orlando loses a large peice of their dynamic that had them reach the finals, they are now much, much, much easier to defend. hedo was like what pau is to this team, well not as good, but just as important in terms of how their team worked. they have to change things up a bit now without him there and with vc instead. watch for some of the lower seed east teams make some adjustments to counter this move by the raptors. As for the lakers, ive just had a thought, the trade that sent VC to orlando created a log-jam at the guard position for the nets, should the lakers inquire about keeyon dooling or rafer alston to replace sasha/farmar/ammo? edit: also muarice ager and CDR, trenton hassell or jarvis hayes. one of these players has to become available, and if we send the nets expiring contracts (ammo? is he expiring?) and farmar as a better backup we could get a really good deal for a backup for kobe, a real backup.
Interesting idea, who knows. Last I heard the Lakers were just planning to give Jordan away in a salary dump. To be honest with you, I don't foresee any impact trades taking place, but obviously that's just my opinion. If do we make a trade, it'll be something like Farmar for 2nd round pick, or Farmar for cash. At this point, I think Jerry is trying to trim the payroll as much as possible, as evident by the way we approached the draft. If LO and Shannon both come back, he's looking at hell of a lot of luxury tax to be paying.
I don't get why someone doesn't want Farmar? I mean he's an expiring contract and not bad for the price. I'm sure Mitch is working all of this out, maybe he is also holding out for a better deal?
I am kinda hoping for the Sasha contract year playing to come back for at least 20 games so we can trade him mid-season
I can understand why he wants to play, but I wish he'd rest up. He already played all of last summer in the Olympics and we need him fresh for another championship run. I think Spain's coach does a good job of limiting player minutes with deep rotations, but Spain is favored to win the tournament which means Gasol is going to play a fair share of minutes this summer.
Per Bucher's Twitter Unless he wants to play for Memphis or Oklahoma I don't think anyone else has money to spend on the Candyman.
this also means we can lowball him when AI signs with Memphis, get him cheaper is a solid possibility right now
