Only way I give up Batum, is if we included Bayless and got back Crash and Augustine. They won't do that though, and realistically, I'm just going to deal Batum unless we're getting back an All-Star or All-Defense type stud.

I agree to all that. I just assume that we wouldnt be a S & T spot for Lee, and that he would actually be here.. but I dont want LMA at the 5 all game and I dont want Joel gone, because until Oden is consistent.. joel is NOT expendable.

I'd deal Rudy to get Wallace. Probably not Batum.

My hope is that it's something like Przybilla/Outlaw, and then Portland goes after one of the talented young big men on the market, Millsap or Lee.

I'd really love to get Wallace. How badly does Charlotte want to get rid of DeSagana Diop's contact? We could help them get way under the cap by trading:

Blake, Outlaw picks for Wallace, Diop.

Yea that's nice and all, but how is that going to help Roy from having to carry too much of a load this year, and maybe even the year after that? See the thing is, the team goes how Roy goes. Not how Nicolas Batum goes. If the Blazers don't get somebody to take a load off of Roy, then he is going to end up like Dwade, hurt trying to carry his team because there is too much of a load on him. Down the road in his career, those aches and pains add up. I would prefer to avoid them.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but perimeter shooting is really not that important.

The L*kers Nuggets, Magic and Cavs all had lower 3pt %than we did. The constant for most finals teams over the past several years has been FTA.

I mean LA has ass rapist, but after that none of the guys jump out as great shooters either.

No way we deal both Rudy and Nic. That would mean their asking price went up. Plus we'd be left with the least promising players in that deal (Bayless and Wallace).

    Great point.

The 16/8 guy makes too much money, no thank you. Where did the days go where we could get marginal players that were cheap like Blake?

Me too. That would allow Okafor to play the 4. Would Joel and Ok play well together though. They seem too similar to me.

Why did these two topics get merged? I understand it is all speculation, but then just sticky a damn "Speculation" thread. One was talking about Wallace, one about Lee. Why can't they stay two seperate topics?

as much as Blake hurts my head.. if our only option would be to get Wallace... I would want a shooter like Blake in the starting lineup. Unless we could somehow get Hinrich which seems unlikely.

You went too far there. MIL isn't going to do that. I liked your other ideas though.

Yeah, that's the question to me, too. In a vacuum, Przybilla seems like a very Larry Brown kind of player...hard-nosed, veteran and defensive-minded. But he duplicates Okafor a bit too much. If Charlotte had an offensive-minded big man, I could more easily see it.

I wont touch on the Rapist comments.. but maybe they had a lower 3% but I would say that Fisher is as just a good shooter as Blake, and that Ariza was a better shooter than Wallace or Batum.. they would pack in on us all day.

They both seemed to be about the rumours of Lee and Wallace, i.e. how the two fit together. To me, they seemed to both be on parallel tracks rather than completely independent (like Odom speculation is/was independent from Sessions speculation).

Yeah, that was a tough one. I think Milwaukee could get motivated with picks and cash though. Rudy for Sessions works also. Webster IS a SG, so he could take Rudy's minutes.

If we could get Milsap or Lee (I prefer Milsap), I'd be ok with parting ways with Przybilla. The west isn't what it was. To me, having Przy is now a luxury. If we can use him to upgrade our starting core, we should IMO.

Nicolas really struggled in the second half of the season with his jump shot, so I don't know if it'd hurt too much having Wallace at SF. I think we have enough shooters on this team. We need another threat outside Brandon who can take it to the hoop.
And if we got a guy like Wallace, Nate better hell make these guys run out on the fast break.
