    Actually, I am always amazed that Dwight seems to put my thoughts into his work a lot. I have met him once, and he seemd like a really great guy.

    I understand where you are coming from.

    If we were really offered 2 first round picks to take on Vince Carter - I would have pulled the trigger. Carter still has some value, and the Nets are such a mess that those picks would almost certainly have been in the lotto. We would have lost the cap space, but had more assets to use in a trade. I know not everyone would agree.

    Jaynes isn't always right, but he doesn't pull any punches and is usually at least thoughtful in the stuff he writes. Personally I think his coverage of KP's moves in free agency has been spot on. Although, I really do hope KP can turn this around, but there seems to be some pretty heavy inertia he hasn't been able to overcome so far.

    Maybe this is just what KP is though -- a great draft day architect, but not a trades and acquisitions kind of personnel guy? :dunno:
