    Source: SJ Mercury News

It's coming from Bucher so who knows how accurate his source is. I know Bucher started off with SJ Mercury news before joining ESPN so maybe he actually gets a prediction right for once in his life.

I love how Twitter is the new source of news. How the times change so quickly. Should be an interesting July for this team with the summer league and trade possibilities.

Maybe he heard Cohan was going to sell, and being basketball savvy, realized that the Warriors actually stood a chance.

I think I said everything I felt about this subject already. It's a big risk, but it has the chance to bring some credibility back to this organization in the short term. It'll cost us about $5-8 million more per year than Biedrins if he takes the max deal. It won't alter our cap flexibility though, we're basically going to be bumping against the luxury tax barring other trades.

Bucher knows NOTHING about the Warriors (or anything NBA related for that matter). He has no sources. I do not believe this one ounce and I'm one of the pro-Amare trade people (as long as Curry/Randolph isn't involved).

You're probably right about Bucher reporting nonsense again. I don't think Curry or Randolph would be included in the deal, but Biedrins likely gets shipped out.

I felt Amare would be an outstanding fit for the Warriors, but he's been irritating this offseason and is proving to be a diva. Those diva types usually don't workout well with Nellie.

As long as the W's aren't giving up Curry or Randolph, it'd be a good trade for them. However, if it's still the proposed Wright/Biedrins/Curry/Bellinelli trade, I wouldn't do it. It's still giving up too much, I think.

What are the dates of when this trade could happen? I think it depends on who is involved.

There shouldn't be any restraints. Free agency was made official today. I think a lot of teams are going to rethink their payrolls after the league sent a memo out saying the salary cap could drop again in 2010 by up to $5M.

Moratorium ends at 9pm today, so teams can start signing and trading at 9:01pm.

Matt Steinmetz was saying that it wouldn't happen until July 8th (today) because of FA restrictions. Apparently there was something with Biedrins contract where they had to wait until today to include him in the trade. But, I haven't heard any grumblings today, so who knows if they're still talking about it. It could be completely dead, or it could be on the verge of being announced...

When this rumor came out I was, without a doubt, for it. Now, I'm over it. Ireally think we need to ship out 2 of our perimeter players (my choice would be Morrow and Azubuike) but I'm really not interested in a 1 year rental or a disgruntled not-quite-super star.

Tim Kawakami points out today that even a one year rental would be better for Cohan in the long run because it gets Biedrins' contract off the books and would make it easier to sell the team.

Well, I have been up and down about this trade, but it sounds like it's not dead, so I'll stay interested.

We all know Morrow's not going to be traded. He makes pennies and he's too good of a shooter to just throw in a trade. I'm for trading Azubuike over Belinelli though.

Weren't you the one vowing to not support the team if they make this trade? Are you saying that you're willing to forego that statement if Cohan sells the team via the dumping of Beans' contract with the incentive of renting Amare for 1 year?

I hear you about not doing the trade, and I'm with you as far as trading perimeter players (we have a bunch). However, Morrow would be one of the last guys I'd trade. I'd much rather trade Magette, Jax, even Bellinelli, before Morrow.

But you're right, if it were a 1-year rental for a prima donna, it would be one of the most horrible trades ever.

Even if we trade Beans, who is going to play center? Amare doesn't want to play the 5, and I don't want Turiaf being our starting center.

Great point. But I think Nellie would want to play Amare at C, regardless of what Amare wants. And IMO that would suck. I like Beans at C because he defends, he rebounds, and he does not need the ball to be effective.

Amare would play C essentially. Obviously he doesn't want to but if hes in a contract year he's not gonna be a bitch about it. If its that big of a problem I'm sure we could just have AR be the "5" and Amare be the "4"- it doesn't matter what label we give them because opposing teams will always match up who they want on either player and we'll put whoever we think is better on certain opposing players.

Still don't think this trade goes down, at least not any time soon.
