He doesn't know anything more then anybody else on here. Everybody puts these writers and radio hosts, Quick and Gavin Dawson for example, on the pedestals just because they have a forum to voice their opinion. They have no "inside" info!

Should he hack into the Blazer's email server and bug their offices to find out what they're talking about? Then we'd have QuickGate.

On a serious tip, I'm around these guys for what 6 straight months. I see and here stuff that I don't talk about. But REAL "INSIDE" stuff, like trades and player movement, KP and those guys don't throw that out there. To think that these media guys know more then anybody else is ridiculous. They can tell you what Frye was wearing or Blakes mood after the game was, but that's about it.

In Jason Quick's defense you can tell by the o-live chats he really hates to talk about trade rumors.

And I don't blame him. For the most part trade rumors are complete bs and often times are just a waste of time to talk about.

I would be pissed if you did know. Most GM's are too smart for that. That goes for the national guys too that say "a source" told them. Right

    KP's next move IS a mystery . . . even to him.

I like Andre Miller. But he's 33, and then what do you do with Bayless? I mean, I'm assuming that you sign Miller outright (not sign/trade)

    Miller/Blake/Bayless is awfully full looking.

Actually, I think that is the way it should be. I don't think Bayless is ready to be the everday b/u PG based on what i saw last year. Problem? He'll throw a fit if we stick him on the bench again. Probably demand a trade.

I think you sign Andre Miller outright.

Then, package Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, and a future first rounder to Washington for Caron Butler. The idea is you use Caron Butler as your starting SF, with Nicolas Batum as the defensive guy off the bench, and Martell Webster as Butler's understudy, and possible pure shooter off the bench.

At PG, you start Andre Miller, and use Jerryd Bayless as your backup, but you need to find another trade for a veteran PG who doesn't mind riding the bench and a banger of a backup PF.

Starters: Miller, Roy, Butler, Aldridge, Oden.
    Reserves: Bayless, Fernandez, Batum, Przybilla.

You may have to sweeten the deal a little for Washington.

Quick has sources... didn't he call th Toronto pursuit of Hedo well before it was picked up elsewhere? I think, in fact, that his report looked wrong for a while.

His sources might not be in the Blazers inner circle, but they're certainly better than ours. Or at least mine. Player agents and other teams' GMs probably wouldn't give me info like they would Quick...

Given that? I don't know that it's fair to EXPECT him to know what KP is going to do. I'm not sure that KP knows what he's going to do next. :)

Sounds like a plan. Only problem I see is that Washington would laugh at this. Butler is a helluva player, especially at 10 mill/year the Wizards have him through 2011.

Quick called Charlotte and reported the Wallace rumors were bogus. He also broke the Hedo news. He has more "inside info" than you do, and you're on the "inside". :)

If he did break the "inside" rumors, he'd quickly find himself on the outside. HCP may be crazy, but he's not stupid. He's not going to risk real cred for internet cred.
