Improving our team by signing a free agent with a resource we have now (cap $) and will not have again in the near future is not "a desperate move to contend now", it's common sense.

So you guys think we should throw all of our money at David Lee? He's not the right guy and New York will match any reasonable offer. If you're patient, a cheaper option that fills a need might just be available via trade later in the summer.
That was a reference to signing Hedo for 5 years. It would have been a desperate move. Hedo will be washed up in year 4 and 5 of his contract.
I agree. We do not need to sign someone just to sign someone. If it's not the right fit, then forget about it! Get over it! Let it go! Chill the fuck out! Pendergraph will do fine as a backup 4!
Amen all around. Just because we have the money, doesn't mean you have to force a guy into the mix. I also second the Pendergraph notion, I think he may just be the back-up Portland needs.
