    From HoopsWorld:

So much for Big Baby Davis. And, boy, the Spurs are really loading up for one last hurrah. They better hope Ginobili stays healthy - although they can probably rest him most of the reg. season and still get home court for at least the first round.

Guess we don't have to worry about San Antonio's size up front anymore, replacing Oberto and Thomas with McDyess and Blair. Spurs are still old and need to stay healthy, but if they do, they're still a contender.

At this point I would have signed McDyess just to keep other teams from getting him.

For about the 23895th time. McDyess will NOT come to Portland. Some of you guys are so clueless.

Yeah, Jefferson/McDyess/Haislip/Blair >>>>> Oberto/Thomas/Bowen. The Spurs have done quite the hell of a job this offseason retooling their roster. Never doubt Pop and Buford down there.

We countered with Pendergraph. No need to panic. Portland is young and improving for God's sake

I thought McDyess would have made a terrific addition to Portland. In the short term anyway. The list of options grows thinner.....

Well, he won't now that he's going to San Antonio.

McDyess's agent said that Portland had displayed zero interest in McDyess. Not that McDyess had no interest in Portland.

Really? We are clueless aye? I say you are clueless. Guys walk to whoever pays them the cash all the time. Turkoglu left to Toronto for cash. He was never serious about winning, or he would have never left Orlando in the first place. Sure McDyess is chasing a ring. But a lot of these older players are just trying to cash a check while they can, and if they can get it on a contender, great. If not, they play ball for another year and collect a paycheck with a team who can't.

    The Spurs.

Another team able to successfully "upgrade their roster" during the offseason.

And that is my whole problem with how the Blazers are being run right now. The Spurs negotiate from a position of strength because they have a marquee franchise with a record of winning champoinships. Portland is being ran the same way but we don't have the position of strength to negotiate with. That method of building a team cannot work unless you are an already established contender. Portland is not there yet, so that is why they are failing.

    Weather durring the season

SA is a little ahead of us right now in his eyes

No state income tax in Texas

WAY cheaper to live in Texas

Maybe thinks he wouldn't fit in on such a young roster

    These are all just guesses

Maybe you should see if they have any "bros" left over from Seinfeld.
