Why is Larry Hughes shooting the last second shot against the Knicks with 6 seconds left? The guy has only been back from injury for two games. That play should have been run for Flip or DJ. Those guys have been making those shots. That was not a good play, but the comeback was a hell of an effort. Should have never been losing to the Knicks anyway, but nine straight was great.

I agree with you on this one. The only reason I can think of is that Larry had a big problem on the defensive end with Crawford, so giving him the chance to take the shot gave Larry a chance to "redeem himself."Also if you look at the replays, Hughes was the most open guy. Perhaps, LeBron should have taken the shot.

Of course every team wants thier superstar to take the last shot, but if you have a shot that wide open by another player you have to take your chances. Unfortunally it didnt work out for the Cavs.

DJ = 3 point shooter. You do the math.

I figure mike brown in the timeout said lets spread out and let lebron create. And he did.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BBoy Ken @ Apr 8 2006, 02:44 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Are you kidding me?! He was not the most open! Lebron took the ball from the right side of the court, crossed over, and hop step going left. His complete body is now facing the corner where hughes was. DJ was open on the other side by about 8 feet or so i would say. Had james tried to turn and make the cross court pass to him, it would have been very easy for the defender to close on him. The defender that actually defended james was the guy that was guarding the wing on hughes' side. It was the best look that there was. There is the math. Here is some more:AWKWARD CROSSCOURT PASS FROM 25FT+DEFENDER CLOSING OUT QUICKER THAN THE PASS GETS THERE=MUCH LOWER % THAN LARRY'S SHOT OPEN

i'm okay w/ this. He needed some confidence and it's just one game. It's all good fellas. I would have prefered Bron to take it, but wouldn't everybody? it's no biggie.
