Hell, who knows. Some people here bash the Portland beat writers like hell. People will believe what they want to believe, though at this point, I don't know what to believe. Too much crazy junk going on.

Never a dull moment around the Blazers. Even on the first day when FAs can sign and we don't do a single damn thing, and it's complete chaos here. I love it.

the same way it works when a "writer" says talks are stalled... just speculative hype/BS from those with a deadline.

basically he's looking down his nose at himself/hates his job. Poor poor Jason :smiley-placko:

I don't think Quick is the type of guy to make up facts out of thin air. I do think he is the kind of guy who probably doesn't have the best sources, though. I think he is a guy who also likes to exaggerate.

I'd laugh, but listening to him and his apathy on the radio, I think you just may be right. He seems to be over the beat writer thing.

I just can't imagine the Blazers not simply maxing out Roy, I mean it makes zero sense.

I still maintain that the best Jason Quick radio/chat moment was when he flipped out at the guys in the Blazer forum like Jet and cup in like 2004. He just went on this like three minute tirade about how they were always bashing him and didn't know half the stuff he did and how he kept so much of the 'negative' stuff to himself. It was truly great.

That has nothing to with this but Papa brought up the radio and it triggered the memory.

A bunch of people already have. KP's popularity is down at Nate's level now.

I think there were also times even last season where Quick was moody as hell. He got so reactionary one time about hating trade rumors and addressing them from fans, and then there was another time when he was so proud of this team and it sounded like he was going to cry.

The guy seems a little out there, but still is a good writer in terms of setting the scene or describing a scene.

Exactly. This guy can be or already is the biggest impact player the Blazers have had since Clyde Drexler. Bend over backwards for Brandon if you want him to stay in the red & black.

    Man...

Last season we had so many last-second game deciding moments that we could've been called the cardiac kids.

Apparently that's carried over into the offseason.

I'm just gonn say this. I think that article, while maybe not straight bullshit, isn't true. There is just simply ZERO way that there's ANY logic behind that. My guess is that all parties involved are just waiting until our roster is finalized and the dust settles. You don't just NOT resign your two studs, who also happen to be the most liked guys on the roster. You just don't.
