haha. That was pretty funny. The more time flies by, the more I get a little concerned. I mean, I'm not worried Brandon and LaMarcus will eventually get their extensions (I hope), but I also was pretty confident that Hedo was going to sign here no matter what people thought if he was a good fit or not. Things aren't all a sure thing. And when it took Toronto the first day to agree to Bargnani, as well as make a complicated sign and trade for Hedo, and renounce several players.. something just doesn't feel right with this situation. I'm still confident, but some of the fans who are like "everything is fine and dandy!".. well, it's not always that way in pro sports. KP isn't God, and he's going to face unexpected challenges as a GM of an NBA team.
maybe he is waiting for the milsap cap space for hinirich deal to go threw then they will get the extensions... i still think cannedhamie and jslo will write pieces on how the extension hamstring the blazers for years...that they should have signed them to shorter deals.
Or he'll say, "Great job Portland, we needed to put some pressure on the Blazers to do the right thing. I called them out on their mishandling of Roy, and I'm glad they finally listened to their fans...." Roy is going to get extended this summer. If LMA doesn't, it's probably because he wants max money. Guess what, they're restricted next year anyway, so we'll match any offer thrown their way.
Well, it's the time of the year when there isn't much news, so Canzano has to cry that the sky is falling.
1) The blazers should probably give Roy what he wants, but Roy IS NOT negotiating, his agent is. I certainly don't trust his agent to do what's best for Roy or the Trailblazers. 2) Of course, I don't trust the Vulcans to do that either, and they may have some control over the negotiations. 3) Canzano is an idiot, but he is NOT a reporter. This website can block post by certain users - it will be truly awesome when it can block thread with the word Canzano in the title!
