Continuing the rough Blazers news of late: http://www.nba.com/summerleague2009/blazers.mills.injury.html
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Well, he isn't making the team! That is just great! Must be injury prone. Broke his wrist or something last year.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot I feel bad for the guy for getting injured, but I don't really care that he has no chance of making the team.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Wow. That certainly sucks. I don't think he had a chance to make the roster and would likely play in Europe. I hope it's not severe like Marty's.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Actually, this might end up working in his favor. The Blazers can't essentially force him to go overseas if he's injured, so I bet this makes him more likely to end up on the roster at the beginning of the season. It's not like there isn't room. (I seem to recall that getting injured in training camp was the reason that John Starks originally stuck with the Knicks...)
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot I do not know if he makes the team or not or if he had any real chance before (I really did not see him) - but it sure sucks for this kid, and quite honestly, to us, as fans. Hope he gets better fast, recovers, makes the team and goes to make the HOF in Blazers uniform.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Bwahahahaha Not for him of course. It sucks for him, but wow this offseason has been awesome. Someone needs to find Greg and put him in a bubble
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot How the hell does Art Garcia from NBA.com get ahold of this information before O-Live, BE or even Blazers.com???? Weird.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot No kidding. The news of stalled extension talks. KP whiffing left and right. Turkoglu burning us. Not trading the RLEC in a shallow FA pool. Likley using Paul Millsap, who's a great up-and-coming player, as a chess move to land Hinrich. Just take me out to pasture and shoot me.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Well, this sucks. If we want Bayless to become a point guard, he needs some offensive players to throw the rock too.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Ummmm ... Mills is a PG, also. I doubt they'd be on the floor together, and if they were, I highly doubt Mills would be the likely recipient of a Bayless assist.
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Well, whatever his point was - using Mills's misfortune was apples to oranges analogy at best. Personally, I took it as bad taste - using what looks like a nice kid's misfortune to spread more doom and gloom - but what do I know?
Re: Patty Mills Breaks Foot Ummmm ... Mills was talked about by the coaching staff to play a little of both, but Mills, is a scorer. I was imagining Mills as recipient of quite few passes from Bayless.
