What if we had just a descent PF? Imagine that. I think we could beat anyone then. Nobody would be as good as us imo. PG-KiddSG-CarterSF-JeffersonPF-MartinC-KristicThat team could win the championship, no question about it.

But who would you give up for a PF? And there is like no room for your guys cap to sign anyone that good.

I agree with you said wholeheartedly, but at the same time your statement is true for many many teams in the NBA. Almost every team in the NBA is one "piece" away from title contentionFor the Nets though, everybody knows that if they have even a decent big such as Chris Wilcox or Melvin Ely that they would garner more respect than what they have right now and would be considered a legit title contender

I no im not saying get a all-star pf. Just a descent one and we could win it all. Or be in contention.

Just imagine if the Nets had signed Shareef in the offseason, and that whole mysterious knee injury ordeal was never brought up.Even if they did have a decent PF, they wouldn't be that big of title contenders. They would be close, but they would need to shore up their bench a little bit and then they could make a legitimate run at the title.

I think they are actually better off with Collins that Shareef. Collins plays great defense and doesnt need to have the ball on offense. He does little things that help the team win and the coaches love the guy..

Man you guys take Jason Collins for granted. He is the 'Bruce Bowen' of this team. We don't need a starting power forward, we need depth that can give Krstic and Collins and break and not give up 10 points in less than 3 minutes.Another All-Star on this team just means more time having to share the ball and give certian people more shots that can be trouble sometimes.Wilcox will be to hard to get even though he's playing the best ball on his contract year (kkkkkkeeeenyonnn lol) but a guy like Ely would be a great fit. The reason Charlotte wouldn't give him up before was because of all the injuries but durying the off-season they may look to get rid of him.
