Lorenzo Fertitta rocking a PRIDE shirt. Bad ass.. Main Card Interim Champ Frank Mir (245) vs. Champ Brock Lesnar (265) Thiago 'The Pitbull' Alves (170) vs. Georges 'Rush' St-Pierre (170) Mike 'The Count' Bisping (186) vs. Dan 'Hendo' Henderson (185) Alan Belcher (186) vs. Yoshihiro Akiyama (185 for Sexyama!) Paulo Thiago (170) vs. Jon Fitch (170) -lol, Rogan announced Belcher's weight first as 206. -185 for Sexyama! -Bisping coming out to a chorus of boos and chatting it up with Dana before he gets on the scale. -Alves makes weight! -GSP's elbow looks fuckin' nasty -Mir is decked out in Under Armor. Looks like a giant condom. He is a solid 245. Looks lean. Undercard Stephan Bonnar (205) vs. Mark Coleman (205) Jim Miller (155) vs. Mac Danzig (1545) Jake O'Brien (206) vs. Jon Jones (206) TJ Grant (170) vs. Dong Hyun Kim (171) Tom Lawlor (184) vs. CB Dollaway (186) Shannon Gugerty (156) vs. Matt Grice (155) -Jon Jones is one bad mother fucker. His chest seems to be pretty fuckin' wide, too. Stronger than he looks. -I don't think Mac Danzig has an ounce of fat on his body. -Bonnar's joke was an epic failure. Before he got on the scale, he pulled out his phone and said 50 cent was calling. Lame. His cut looked better than last time. He doesn't look completely drained. I'm going to suspect Coleman has an even worse gas tank, he looked very grumpy on the scale. I think Bonnar takes it.
Brock's only words. "Its all over but the crying" He looked to be in horrible shape, IMO. He just looked a lot flabbier than the last time I remember him being. Plus he was red as fuck. His whole body was sun burned. If I'm Mir, I'm pressing that shit hard tomorrow :]
Anybody else catch the weigh ins? Mir seemed a hell of a lot more confident than Lesnar. Lesnar seemed out of it, looked like he had a horrible cut. He was chugging water right after he got off the scale. Mir was a solid, I mean...SOLID 245. I've never seen him so ripped before. I'm actually starting to lean towards Mir here.
I've liked Mir all along, he looked like a bad man up on the stage. And on the subject of rehydrating, Alves was pounding whatever was in that bottle down right after he got off too, so we'll see there too. IMO his only chance is to catch GSP in the first two rounds, if it goes any more than that, GSP will wear him down and pound him out in the 3rd or 4th.
Alves probably had a hard cut. At least he made weight, though. Didn't he miss it by like 5 lbs or something last time? I just feel good for him. He is solid, strong, and has KO power. GSP is strong, but will he be able to hold Alves down the whole time? I'm liking Alves here. But then again, I usually pick against GSP.
Thanks for the weigh-in info, Mamba. Alves has been cutting for a couple of weeks, hopefully he has energy tomorrow. GSP has never lost a fight that's gone past the first round. Should be a great show.
I think we're in for an all out war between Alves and GSP. I think GSP is going to struggle with his size and strength. He's very short and stocky.
Dan mother fucking Henderson! Brock Lesnar is a fucking douche bag. Flips the crowd off? He is the worst thing to happen to the UFC HW division. He is so fucking boring and he is a fucking twat. Carwin. Please knock him the fuck out.
Bisping lovers can suck a fat one! GSP never fails to impress me more. I thought for sure he'd have a problem keeping Alves down. Damn impressive. Time to move up to 185, GSP.
