Saw it tonight, it was hilarious. Definitely as good or better than Borat. I'll probably go back again this weekend so I can try to catch the stuff I missed while I was hysterically laughing.
Fuckin sweet. I was worried about it being overhyped and not as good as Borat. I'll definitely check it out tomorrow night.
Sasha Baren Cohen isn't a sell-out so his shit will always be top-notch. I'm going to try and see it this weekend.
This movie was way too lewd for my taste. It was funny and everything, but it wasn't an iconic movie like Borat. This movie was nowhere close to being as good as Borat. 44Thrilla is actually the only person I've heard that say it's better than Borat. This is not a movie I would want to see again, or buy on Blu-Ray.
But you wanted to buy a blue ray version of Borat? Personally, I'd rather not see this scene ever again, let alone in high def...
I saw it at a midnight showing Thursday night/Friday morning... I was really hammered with buddies that are huge SBC fans. We all had relatively low expectations, though, because... well, because we're smart. There were several parts that were very very funny, but I really missed out on any narrative that existed. I'll see it again because I want to see it while less intoxicated, but I would say it was nowhere near as good as Borat. Ed O.
I wish I could go back in time and watch Borat without having any prior knowledge of what it was all about. I definitely would have enjoyed it more. I still liked it, but I think all his prior Borat material is far superior to most of that movie. Bruno was always my least favorite SBC character, so I had low expectations going in. I also went out of my way to avoid all promotional material so that I didn't spoil any of it.
Agreed. There were a few great moments in Borat, but most of the movie played like material that missed the cut for the TV show. Quite!
saw it. high. kind of funny, really funny at parts but too much of it seemed too scripted and not real. favorite part when he was in the jury on the TV show!
Ali G: When will man step foot on the sun? Buzz Aldrin: Never. The sun is too hot for a human to step on. Ali G: What about during winter, though? Something along those lines.
