Just go ahead and recap next time:

Some Jazz fans think they shouldn't match.

Reminds me of that saying, "a prophet is without honor in his own country."

A lot of Jazz fans don't seem to think that Millsap is worth all that money. I hope they're wrong.

They don't think he's starter material. Fortunately for us, he doesn't have to be.

    Personally, I liked this one:

Lots of Blazer fans think Nate is a giant bum, many (or at least a very vocal minority) thought Sergio was the next Steve Nash ... the only thing that matters is what Kevin O'Connor thinks of him.

Until the seven-day window passes and Millsap is ours, then I'll still be skeptical that the guy is ours. But my gut reaction is to say, hahahaha.. screw you Utah.

I'll be floored with shock if they don't match.

I would as well, but for one time this offseason.. I'd like to see another fan base feel the letdown we have gone through seemingly this whole summer.

What's interesting about Millsap is that he is fine with being a backup. The guy has been in the NBA for three or four years, and yet he has no problem with Aldridge being the starter. This means we won't have to worry about him demanding a starter's minutes, or growing unhappy in Portland. That's something that would have been an issue with someone like David Lee.

Everyone is preparing themselves for what they perceive to be the "worst". Blazer fans are sure the Jazz will match, Jazz fans are sure they will not. But watch how they hoot if they do.

I think Millsap is certainly saying the right things and he did sign the offer sheet so it's possible he's (literally) putting his money where his mouth is. Frankly though, I think it's pretty bad value to pay him the kind of money he's going to be making (assuming Utah lets him walk) and only give him backup minutes.

If this happens then I think Joel's days as a Blazer are limited ... or at least his role will be severly limited.

Timing is everything. During the season they all thought Millsap was better than Boozer. Especially after Boozer said he would opt out. They did not want Boozer back. NOW.......since Boozer did not opt out everyone including the radio guys have all flip flopped and said the opposite. David Locke is the worst. He was roasting Boozer until he found out he was coming back. Now he says Millsap's stats went down after a team played him twice abd figured him out.

He uses the Porland series as an example. What the Einstein did not factor in was the home and away sceanrio. Portland /Utah performances are always heavily influenced by the home team. None of the jazz players played well the last two games this year against Portland except for Williams. They were blow outs.

Bottom line is they will love who ever they end up with and diss who ever leaves them. Like most fans.

Even if we don't get to keep Millsap, because Utah matches, at least they don't get a hometown discount on him. I was worried that he would end up signing for 4-5 million a year ( a great deal with this numbers). I hope we get him, but it will affect Utahs cap even if we lose out for the next few years.

Some Blazer fans think management shouldn't max Roy. It doesn't mean I agree with them.
