This would be awesome if we signed him. He's a tough PG and has a georgia tech connection with CB4.
The article also says Parker signed with Cleveland, when did that happen?

Kind of surprised by the length of that offer sheet. With so many contracts expiring in 2011, Colangelo talked of trying to keep any additions to 1 or 2 year contracts. I guess he thinks Jack is young enough that he'd either turn into a valuable piece or someone who's easy to move down the line.

I absolutely love this potential signing, by the way. The prospect of having 48 minutes of excellent PG play is awesome. That's how you get a team that's mediocre defensively and rebounding-wise to overachive and make some noise.

    From the ESPN.com article:
    Man, I hope that's true.

im shocked the pacers arent going to match especially considering they just signed dantay jones for 4 yr and 11 million yet they dont want to match jack reasonable offersheet. it looks like the pacers have their priorities all messed up.

Maybe they're worried about the reported chemistry problems between Jack and TJ Ford? I remember those two got into it with each other towards the end of the season.

    I think it's a mistake, if that's the reason.

I like Jarrett Jack. He's a very tough player, won't back down from anybody. I still remember when he and Lamar got into it a couple of years ago, his attitude sort of reminds me of Derek Fisher in a way, but I hear that he's somewhat of a hot head.

I didn't like the Hedo signing for the Raps, and kind of questioned BC at first, but it seems like he knows what he's doing. He's putting together a pretty solid roster which I'm guessing will be back in the playoffs next year. Bosh is happy as well, that's probably the most important aspect of these moves anyways.

presumably, the raps will sign jack, rasho and delfino.

so the projected lineup looks something like this:

    PG: Caledron, Jack, Ukic, Banks
    SG: Derozan, Delfino, Douby
    SF: Hedo, Wright, George
    PF: Bosh, Evans
    C: Bargnani, Rasho. Patty OB

is that the best lineup in raptor history? not sure but pretty darn close

ppl on RealGM have been saying probably around 1.63 will be left from the MLE. Who could we grab with that? Barnes?

Von Wafer? I'm not sure what he could net out there, but there can't be much money left out there.

I think if we could grab anyone, I'd be a good move really. Jack + Rest of MLE + Delfino + Rasho would be nice.

Jack has the ability to play the off-guard spot too, which is a real luxury for us. I'm really how deep we're starting to look.

Agreed. But I'm holding out thoughts until we make a few more moves, that Banks contract is really hurting the team.

Apparently the offer is a backloaded one. That might keep us in the running for a player like Klieza (or others along that calibre) and the increasing salary in a couple years might also scare Indiana away with their payroll straddling a potentially lowered luxury tax.

if we sign jack we need to go big, if that means rasho or pops so be it. i actually might prefer pops because he is a game changer with his intensity.

We need Rasho's defense more. Pops' athleticism and blocking ability are valuable but you can't play him for long stretches like Nesterovic, because he has no offensive game and gets abused by more polished post players.

yeah but rasho is geriatric. plus, pops is still ripe enough that he can develop an offensive game and we dont have anyone like him on the roster. as i stated previously- he's a game changer who can alter the course of a game just by his mere presence. as for rasho's interior defense- completely overstated, e.g. d howard dominating him in the playoffs
