Rumors are out on the pay days. Word is Brock and GSP got $400,000. Hendo got $350,000 with his KO bonus. Not sure about Mir. Bitchping got $150,000. I'll post the figures when they're released.
Hendo is catching a lot of heat for throwing that flying forearm after Bisping was out because he said it was just to shut him up some more. I truly believe Hendo was running off of adrenaline. When you're fighting, you don't stop until the refs pulls you off. He did the same shit to Wanderlei and nobody gave a fuck. No one gave a fuck when Rampage hit Wandy 3x after he knocked him out flush. I think it was Hendo's comment that got him in trouble. Bitchping deserved it, though.
guys, flip it around, if Bisping had KO'd Hendo like that and then Dropped that extra shot, EVERYONE would be all over Bisping for doing it. It's hypocritical to give Hendo the pass. He admitted he know Bisping was out and wanted to drop that extra shot. I think that extra shot took a year or two off of Bisping's career, he didn't even know where the fuck he was. still was a great night of fights indeed. GSP just dominanted and so did Lesnar. Lesnar is a classless buffoon, but he's the biggest classless buffoon and therefore gets away with his comments cause no one can shut him up.
The point I was making was it wasn't even close. Maybe I do need my ears checked... haha BTW, anyone want a coors light? BUD LIGHT wont sponsor me....
I dont care about flipping it around. Bisping talked so much garbage it was ridiculous. maybe this will actually teach him a lesson about humility. The guy had it coming. I would have no remorse. If it was vice versa, Hendo was the nicest coach you would ever meet. That would be foul.. Life aint fair man.... HONESTLY, Bisping had it coming. I bet he'll dream of that second shot everytime he steps in the ring. RIGHTFULLY SO!!!!!
I still think he lacks skill in comparison to most of the other heavyweights in the UFC. His size and strength had loads to do with him being a DIVISION I champ. Im not saying he doesn't have any skill at all. Im sure he's had some formal training. But compared to everyone else, I think he's an amateur who holds the current title because of his size. Randy is close to 50 and would have tooled a smaller BROCK LESNAR easily. Can you imagine if BROCK was just 230 or so??? I think RANDY would have won that fight the way LESNAR fought that night. If I were his size I'd just train for cardio. haha. My GAMEPLAN each and every fight : GRAB the shit out them, throw them on the mat, HOLD their arms down, and beat them too hell.......
Totally agree about Hendo, just because a guy talks trash doesn't mean he deserves possible brain damage.
You're probably right, but again, the ref didn't stop him. Rampage did the same shit, BJ's held a choke long before. Fighters usually go until they are pulled off by the ref. Dan might have known he was out, but its a fight and you don't stop until the refs pulls you off. He did the same thing to Wanderlei. You go until you stop. Dan probably knew that it was over with that right hand, but with the energy and adrenaline running, you go. Its not like Dan stopped for a second after that right and then jumped. It was one fluid motion. A And hopefully that shot ended Bisping's career. That is what happens when you don't have a can in front of you, Mike.
^ mambas right about that. Ref didn't jump in or stop it until after the 2nd blow.... There are many fighters I know who are trained to finish until ref stoppage. I've seen some who thought the guy was KO'ed let him go and ended up losing the fight in the later rounds. Bisping was hit hard.. but anyone remember GUIDA just a couple weeks ago. When the leg kick flew he looked like he was going out and bounced right back up.. In the HEAT of the moment I dont think HENDO would of known if Bisping was clearly out or not.... He hit the canvas and he followed through.. Its the refs job to stop the fight otherwise your taught to continue moving forward. Look at BROCK. Mir was taking a huge beating and looked like he was done, but they allowed it to continue pretty damn long if you ask me...
the difference here is he ADMITTED he knew Bisping was out, that he normally would have stopped, but he chose not to. I like Hendo and all, but it was an admitted dick move and Bisping was fucked up. He wasn't saying "what happened" like a lot of fighters who get flash KO'ed do, he was saying "where am I?" He was seriously concussed there. Being a dick and a big mouth doesn't earn you that. Besides Dan got his verbal shots in too if I recall correctly.
I think some dicks do deserve what they get... Like you mentioned, he would have normally stopped. I think if BISPING was humble throughout and just fought his fight instead of all the verbal jabbing and mocking of an MMA legend Hendo would have stopped. I guess I've been around so many dicks who just get away with everything that when I see one finally get paid his dues, it doesn't bother me one bit. Now if HENDO did what he did after the REFS already called it quits just to spite BISPING, I would have a problem with that. Once the ref stepped in he stopped swinging. It wasn't as if HENDO was trying to beat the living shit out of BISPING after the ref stopped it. A little NASTY, certainly.. against UFC rules? Certainly not....This was clearly not one of the worst late ref stoppages I have seen. There have been alot worse... Its MMA. Its one of the safest combat sports in the world, but expect to get hurt.
Yeah, Dan "admitted" he did it on purpose, if you want to say that. But Dana said Dan was joking and at the press conference, Dan admitted to being caught up in the moment. Either way, it was perfectly legal. And I take back my comment about Bisping doing that to Dan and me being upset. I wouldn't be. Bisping hits like a feather, he could never do that to Dan's iron chin.
I think I am the only Bisping fan on this forum and that shot didn't really bother me that much. The comment afterward made Dan look a bit like a jerk but when you fight for a living you have to go until the ref pulls you off.
