Can Marijuana be used therapeutically to calm one down (like a drinking scotch)?

When I work-out after smoking I have so much more endurance. I can't necessarily lift more but I can do way more reps.

ok, working out after smoking out the day before sucks. i didn't have that killer instinct playing basketball...that "I want to fuck you up" mentality. cardio sucked and dragged on too...didn't even bother lifting, i would have gave up so fast....

It's shown a lot of potential as an effective treatment for anxiety disorders and depression. The problem is that there's very little research done about that potential, because of the misguided drug policies of America and Canada (it's ridiculously difficult to get research grants for that kind of a project). Instead, both would rather continue pushing prescription medication on the population which tend to come with significant side effects.

I've never smoked, nor even been tempted. I like booze, not for its effects, but because I love the taste. If they made non-alcoholic bourbon, I'd drink it all day. A good buzz with friends is fine, but I can hang sober as well.

Yup, I'm with you but substitute your alcohol for marijuana. I love the taste, and I love the smell. If I don't have any herb on my that's no problem. I'm fine with just hanging out and relaxing while being sober. I hate to rely on things anyway.

it def is effective. i suffer from both of those and it helps me everytime. if i was in cali i could get medical card...i dont think anxiety or depression are reasons to be able to get medical marijuana though in oregon..

quick question for anyone that has a medical card in oregon(or anywhere), do you not have to take a drug test to get employed if you have a mm card?
