Thank goodness. Was not looking forward to paying the full MLE for a role playing backup. But now Dallas has limited options for a backup big.
He plays like 13 minutes a game? He's getting a 5 year 33 million deal for that, seems like a risky contract. 73 million, and 76 million in total salary for Orlando the next two years. I probably would have let him walk like what occurred with Ronny Turiaf.
Well they have this dude named Dwight.... I just think he would blossom into a quality C if he got the time
Uh yeah I know... My point was why do they need him at 33 million if he won't get time? I wonder if they'll still want to use their MLE next year with the lower cap now, could have filled in a better void.
lol...just havin fun with ya ...and hed get a crapload more time on the Mavs so the contract should reflect that
Hey you could still be right though, Gortat might earn that money or more. Sometimes you just have to let players move on, I'm not 100% sure but I think Orlando is not one of the richer franchises (nothing against them btw). He's worth more on the Mavs, just not sure what Orlando is thinking.
Orlando might start Gortat at the 4? Since they're planning on moving Rashard back to his natural position.
Really? I would assume Bass is more ready to be a starter compared to Gortat, he seems to compliment Howard better. Lewis might also still see some time at the 4. Depends on Pietrus taking a more active role. If he can play closer to 30 minutes a night Shard could split time at the 3/4 in a more even fashion.
Lol, I'm not sure if they are going to, it was just a thought. I guess depending on matchups, they can start someone else alongside Lewis. Lewis just had too much trouble against certain 4s, Gasol being the most obvious.
It will be interesting how Gortat performs for them. His agent said the Gortat was disappointed with his return to Orlando.
