He'd be great for vet's minimum.

That's about all I'd offer. His game has gone seriously downhill.

I would take a chance on him. For 1 year. If all else fails.

I thought Big Ben was going to retire?

If we are going to sign an older big man, why bother with a guy who simply can't play anymore?

Joe Smith is still out there. Kurt Thomas can be had. Drew Gooden would be a good choice.

Ben Wallace has unfortunately reached the point in his career where he isn't worth even the vet minimum.

    Why?

Same question I'd ask about Sean May supposedly working out for us.

Can he now retire AND get the 14 mill? or whatever was leftover after the buyout? Cause I am pretty sure thats the only thing that was keeping him in the league.

I don't like this idea, even for the vet minimum... he's totally done, overcooked, stick a fork in him. And, Nate would use him over a Pendergraph/Cunningham who could possibly shake out into something decent.

Not big on Big Ben at this point. I would rather go to war with what we have.

Ain't that the truth! Wasn't it just two years ago that he was considered the best power forward in the league?

Huh? What league are you watching? 2 years ago he averaged 5 points and 8 rebounds.

And when was he ever considered the best PF? You do remember a guy named Tim Duncan, right?

No. He was never considered remotely in the same league as Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett. And the last time he was even a good player was his final season in Detroit, which was three seasons ago.
