I have a slight problem with FIFA taking a stronger stand against a display of Christianity than they appear to take against the racism that plagues European football.

I agree, they need to focus on keeping racism out of football initially.

There should be no reason for Fifa to be against religion in football. Surely there is no harm in Kaka's t-shirt of religious celebrations. It could create some heat between clubs with a different religious fan base but I doubt it would make a huge difference. Players should be allowed to express their faith if it doesn't hurt of insult anybody.

I'd like to see them try to tell Rangers and Celtic fans to keep religion out of football.

Haha, exactly. It should just be Catholics vs. Protestants.

That's really stupid, you should be able to express yourself on the pitch how you won't without going overboard. But yeah the racism in Europe that is happening right now needs to be taken care, they say they are doing their best but really they aren't doing anything and they don't give a shite neither.

    Mixx in relgious defence shocker.

If religion is relaxed then political stance would also have to be relaxed as it becomes about freedom of expression.

Fifa are right on this one.

    Whatever happened to just celebrating?!

What is stupid is this "incitement" rule where things like removing your shirt is supposed to upset the supporters. Erm, does the goal not upset them so shall we ban them as well?

    Sort it out eh.

Short of running to the away fans and rubbing it in their face you should be allowed to celebrate in any none religious or political way you please within the context of common sense.
