Sign and trade? No way we lose him to some other team for the MLE if that is the case.

Kobe hasn't proved he can win a championship without him or Shaq.

Lol ok whatever, Bulls won 55 games without Jordan. :]

Yeah LO is so amazing he's getting his deal thrown off the table. He's overpaid and he can't sass us.

I'm all for trading him if necessary.

Sign and trade. We cannot lose him for nothing, the offseason will be a failure. Mitch better work his magic. We sold all our draft picks this year to help us in free agency, we better come out with more than just Artest if we end up losing both LO and Ariza. Pretty ticked off we could've gotten Blair, so hopefully something gets done. Losing him for nothing is not an option. At this point I don't want him back either, because we all know he's gonna play half assed if he returns.

What's the best trade out there really? I'm not sure.

I dunno. I think Miami is an option, when it's all said and done. Who knows though. Pull out the magic wand again, Mitch.

Screw Jerry Buss for not giving him more years.

How is LO gonna feed his family now? :(

Give him his money, and still look for the trade I say. If we have to wait until December we can sweeten the pot by throwing in Morrison for cap relief possibly. Whatever.

Better not lose him for nothing, that’s all I have to say. Our bench and depth is absolute shit without him.

His deal is bad for the Lakers, but not for other teams. Just give him the years and call it a trade. We have pieces we can move around.

I'm also frustrated with both sides a bit. I get the 8-9 million part but the 4 years is no biggie to me. He isn't going to get another large contract. Offer him Marion money then he even mentioned it in the long interview I recently posted. 5 years 40 million.

Lmfao, Buss is quoting Beyonce songs now? ( Emplay was at a Beyonce concert so it probably came from him though. :[ )

I guess he's pissed, but I mean just a bit over the MLE and 5 years would have clinched him right? I don't know what to think, this has just taken too long on both sides.

Odom is foolish, 4 years or not he would get endorsements here and a bunch of extra media exposure, as well as the lifestyle. No transition required, all his friends are here and if he gets the MLE like Rasheed did at 34 he makes up any money easily. Even if he doesn't he'll probably profit more from staying with the Lakers.

This time of his life should be about winning, but even with the ridiculous payroll we have he has a 9 million offer still. He should get signed in either case but I don't get him.

Why was Odom bitching about a Mil a year... he could have EASILY made up for that money with what he could get by just LIVING in LA. When you play for the Lakers, you are an instant celebrity... why do none of there players understand this...

    For Example...

Ronny Turiaf... was loved by people. Now, we never see him. This will be Ariza in a few years. Odom too, if he goes of to some stupid team.

    What the fuck

Of course we never see Ronny. He plays in Golden State. Ask Yama, he sees him every day.

    smh

I don't get it. I don't know if it's Odom who is being a moron or his agent, but Odom isn't worth a 5 year deal and isn't worth more than $9mil per year. I'm all about an S&T at this point, as long as we get back something worthwhile.
