This team's too talented offensively to not make it in the Eastern playoffs. After Boston, Cleveland, and Orlando, almost every other team has regressed (or remained complacent) this offseason.
Meh I voted yes, wanted to be positive about at least this. You guys have some nice talent, hopefully they can get 41-43 wins and then they should be a lock.
the better question is whether this is going to be an elite team or not. i think the raps are going to be a fringe playoff team like a seventh or eighth seed and summarily massacred by an elite team in the first round
No way theyre an elite. To be an elite team the raps need to have an elite player. We have nice pieces, but nothing puts us over the edge. Oh and to answer the original question, yes I think the raps will be a playoff team.
all i'm hoping is if the raptors do make the playoffs.. they'll be seeded 4 or 5.. 6,7,8 is almost auto loss when ure up against either cle, bos, or orl..
Of course they will make the playoffs. We're the Toronto Fuckin' Raptors. We think winning two games in a row is a winning streak. When we win a game, the city goes insane and when we lose, we're the worst team in the league. We are going to the NBA finals and beating the Lakers in 7 games.
I don't see it. I feel like we do what they do, but better. We (potentially) have a stronger and more dynamic PG rotation than them. We have a better shooting big man (Bargnani vs. Troy Murphy). We have a better offensive-oriented swingman (Hedo vs. Dunleavy Jr.). And we have a legit big man who consistent gets to the rim. Danny Granger might be the best player on both teams, but I'm not all that impressed with the talent he's surrounded by.
