Interesting ... it sure would appear to make some sense if they plan to deal Hinrich. Is the Boozer three-team back on the table?
from what I heard, I thought it was never on the table for 2 of the 3 teams.. I'm so confuuuuuuuuuuused
Who is there starting 2? I will go look it up... brb. They really have no true starting SG. Unless they are going to start Salmons. Maybe they are going to start Kirk at SG?
since just about everyone agrees that Rose is around the worst PG in the league in terms of defensive responsibilities, having Hinrich at SG probably isn't a bad idea. Pargo seems to me to be a PG like Juan Dixon is a PG....if he's 6'1 and playing he must be a PG, even though he acts like, walks like and shoots like an SG. Whoever above said Hunter was basically an assistant coach was pretty close, imo. I don't know that this signals anything, other than BG left and they're going to bring in some players to see what they can get out of the backcourt.
Salmons will likely be their starting shooting guard next season (with Deng slotting in at small forward) and one of Salmons' calling cards, rightly or wrongly, is defense. So they already ostensibly have a defender at the 2 to cover for Rose. Of course, they might one off the bench, too. So who knows?
It might be something in the works. Heres your web proof for Pargo and Hunter. http://espn.go.com/chicago/story?id=4326434
Whoever said Hunter was basically an assistant coach was pretty close, no doubt. The Bulls like him for the influence he has off the court as much as on, and he didn't play a lot of minutes last year. He's still good enough that the Bulls would play him in any situation, including end of Q4 with the game on the line. And there were a few times the Bulls seemed to lose control of the game, put him in, and they got under control and won the game (or made it close). As near as I can tell, the Bulls consider Salmons to be their starting SG, though he's going to be their SF if Deng can't go (again).
The Jazz might be running out of options. If we sweeten the deal for them they might just bite. People keep saying OMG why did we piss off the jazz with the toxic offer? Well why did Toronto outbid us for Turkoglu? Why did Memphis sign D. Miles and hose our capspace? The answer is to get more $ or get a better team. The NBA is a business now that the Blazers have forced the issue the Jazz have a choice. Since they haven't seemed to get anything done with OKC that leaves Lux tax, letting us sign Millsap or trading Boozer with us as a trade partner. They may very well keep both Boozer and Millsap and look for a mid-season trade. I think they trade Boozer now though and hopefully Portland can get in on it. If we get hinrich out of the deal without giving up Blake/Outlaw I would look for us to make a move for David Lee in a Sign and Trade for Blake/Outlaw. Final move is to trade Przybilla for Battier. PG: Hinrich/Bayless/Roy/Rudy/Jeeter SG: Roy/Rudy/Battier SF: Battier/Batum/Roy PF: LMA/Lee/Cunningham C: Oden/LMA/Lee/Pendergraph that leaves 3 roster spaces for scrubs. What do you think am I getting warmer? Would you be happy with that lineup?
More legs to the Boozer to Bulls deal? Boozer already publicly said that he'd like to play for them and wouldn't mind being traded there. Are they all on the hot seat to get a deal done?
