Couple problems with Shaq's dream. First of all, he's too old - dued is almost pushing 40. Secondly, he'd have to lose probably close to 100 lbs to get within the weight limits for heavyweights. I'd love to see it though.
What's Shaq weighing these days? 340lbs? I thought he dropped a little prior to the start of last season but still he'd have miles to go to make 265 lbs. His height would be killer too as he'd be put on his back so fast by Brock, it'd get ugly quick. Still Shaq should be part of a grappling match up during a UFC fan's expo... ppl would love to see that. Hell put him in a MMA demo vs Couture or Nogeuira and ppl would line up for miles to see that.. I know I would.
Does anybody think Shaq won't balloon to over 400-lbs. within months of retiring? It's inevitable. So the fight could never happen. Sapp vs. Shaq in Japan would be great, though.
that would be funny as hell to watch. Entertaining too. would shaq even try and strike with him? Shaq vs Zulu or Shaq vs Hang Man Choi would be great too.
Shaq definitely got the reach advantage. Dana should just free up the weight for this fight... I'd pay to see it. 7 footer with jiujitsu skills?
Dana wouldn't let him go straight to the UFC, he said before. Shaq has called out Hong Man Choi before, maybe Shaq vs. HMC for his first fight?
James Johnson would kill Shaq in an MMA fight. Just because Shaq has been training for 10 years doesn't mean he's any good at it.
