Its the only reason he is still starting in the NBA, he does nothing of statistical value, but his defense is among the best in the league against low post players..G-KiddG-IguodalaF-JeffersonF-CollinsC-Dalembert

Bosh really isn't anything special on the defensive end.btw, thanks for the love on delonte, but i do think TA is a better defender than him.

I havent really seen much of either one to be honest so it was a toss-up for me..

Collins is known strictly as a defender. If it wasnt for his defense he would never be a starter..
Yeah maybe you are right but CB4's defense is really underrated. He uses his athleticism to guard the basket and he does a good job at it.

If it wasnt for his defense, he would have nothing to bring to the table..
C- Samuel DalembertF- Jason CollinsF- Vince CarterG- Andre IguodalaG- Jason KiddBefore you critize me about Vince Carter watch the man play this year he's been really good on both ends of the floor.
RJ is a better defender than him. So is Tony Allen.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (CB4AllStar @ Apr 9 2006, 03:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Yeah maybe you are right but CB4's defense is really underrated. The celtics, namely Paul Pierce, had no problem getting to the rim and finishing when we played the Raps. I don't think he's a very good defender at all.

Tony Allen I'm not sure of because I havn't seeen him play enough.

He turns hustle and hard work into solid defense, but he uses his athleticism and jumping ability to his advantage defensively. He isnt a definsive stopper by any means, but he has improved alot. Having said that, RJ is a tremendous defender and clearly should have to spot ahead of him..<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Diesel @ Apr 11 2006, 10:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>RJ is not better than Vince Carter on the defensive side of the ball this year. He always takes the challenge of guarding the opposing team's best player and is definatly a better defender than Vince, no question..
RJ is no shut down defender trust me. Him and Vince play defense actually pretty similar. I just think this year Vince has looked better on that side of the ball.

He has improved the rest of his game but he is still a very good defensive player..And no Vince hasnt looked better, not sure where youre getting that from..No way is Vince a better defender than RJ..
Collins makes Richard and Vince look amazing. The guy hustles out so much to help and it often makes it look like it's his fault in plays.
Collins has nothing to do with Jefferson's defense..hes not like a shotblocker or intimidating force like Kmart was so he doesnt effect the other players as much. He plays terrific man defense in the post, but RJ is a great defender in his own right regardless of Collins' effect..
