When Roy finally signs his contract extension, KP should hand him a $50 bill and say "This is for your autograph." :devilwink:

Not a lot of diff between 49 and 50 bucks. If you will buy for $49 and not $50, its kinda stupid and the person who set the price is counting on that stupidity.

I remember reading that Pete Rose refuse to personalize a autograph saying it was worth more not being personalize. It was obvious he didn't think much of sentimental value.

What I posted at Jaynes site:

What is bs is people act like Roy doesn’t give autographs for free all the time. This was just a single event where he was paid to come and meet and sign autographs. I’m sure anyone that did it was happy to pay to meet Roy and get his autograph when otherwise they might not get the chance. That doesn’t mean Roy doesn’t sign autographs for free after games and so forth. Sheesh, big ado about nothing.

It was a staged autograph signing where if people want Brandons signature, they must pay 49 dollars. OP made it sound like a random kid just came up to Roy and was like "hey can I have an autograph?" and Brandon said "yeah, let me get 49 bucks."

So if Portland wins a championship, there shouldn't be any new articles about it? After all...we won just a couple decades ago.

Someone once offered me a lot more than $49 to carge them. I refused. I have morals.

Regardless, it's still corny to charge a fan for an autograph. I can't understand why anyone would pay for a signature, either.
