Blake has proven you don't need to be John Stockton to PG this team poorly.

streams are posted on the message board every time a game has came up so far. I wasn't able to log into the NBA site to watch the first game, so I used the alternate stream posted on the boaard, and it worked great.

Blake has proven you don't need to be John Stockton to PG this team to 54 wins.

I'd just like to see him achieve a Batum/Blake level of competence, and let the highlight reels come in future years.

Not that I agree, but didn't you just say that Bayless isn't very good and Outlaw is even worse?

What kind of point guard would both bring back in a trade?

I asked him the same thing. He said Bayless could become "average" but expected a star in return.

Way too early to give up on Bayless. He works hard, but will probably be a scoring PG. I have no problem with that. Many good teams have those sort of players in their second string. Why can't rudy and Bayless play off each other. Also, I think he will learn to play great D in the future. You can teach a player to get better at D and he definately has the work ethic. I'm not going to get to high or low based on summer league. Right now he is out of his comfort zone, but I believe he is only 20. Give him some time with good player around him.

Yeah....but John Stockton didn't have those photos of KP dragging a dead hooker out of his hotel in Bangkok to fall back on. :pimp:

    My opinion?

Summer League is a glorified scrimmage that doesn't really matter at all.

It matters. Plenty of decent players have come through the SL. It gives some of these guys a chance to be the focal point of the offense, play against other decent competition, and get experience that they otherwise wouldn't have been able to get from merely practicing or playing spot minutes.

So do glorified scrimmage games but it still doesn't mean much. I just like to see that Bayless is trying to become a better PG even if the games have little meaning.

Pass first shoot second. I am not seeing that. All we have heard is that is what he is supposed to do. I am not impressed. Sorry.

The game I watched Poo seemed to be able to find the open man much easier than Bayless. What does that say?

Absolutely not true. When Pooh was in at the 1 normally Bayless was out and our offense stalled. In the 2nd half of the 2nd game they allowed Bayless to play the 2 and Pooh to play the 1 and that's when Pooh looked his best. Because Bayless is really able to play well off the ball.

Less impressive than last summer, and still quite obviously not capable of playing PG effectively.

Good enough to be Rudy's backup at SG though, if we trade Roy.
