I knew things were getting serious when Jerry told Mitch to STFU and started to negotiate on his own. You don't gamble with a professional poker player. Jerry has been more than generous with his contract offers, so anybody doubting him, or calling him cheap are idiots. He will pay for a winner, period. He doesn't make billions like Paul Allen or Mark Cuban, his only income are the Lakers and maybe poker. Yet he's willing to spend as much money possible, as long as it's reasonable, to keep this team winning. They don't call him the best owner in basketball for no reason.
They call him the best owner? I agree though. He makes championship teams so fucking fast. I mean, we were only out of the playoffs for 1 season, 2 first-round exits, then after that, 2 straight finals appearances and 1 title. Amazing. Him and Mitch are awesome in the Front Office.
