    Re: Bucher Update

I think he'll be an afterthought in Miami, he's not going to win anything and he's past his prime.

The tax factor has been debated due to road games though. I heard it isn't that big of a difference, I also thought he has businesses here that might suffer, but I'm not sure.

Good job you fucking twat. You finally start to get me to believe you, and you back track? You fucking twat. Go kill yourself like you said you would during the Kobe debacle.

And I thought if you live in a state that doesn't get taxed, when you travel, you don't get taxed because of your residence.

Re: Lakers had made new offer of 36/4, 30/3 to LO.

Jim Hill reported that LO personally called Jerry Buss. Don't know what for, no details. Probably about the contract.

But either way that's positive, right?

The insider on TLN mentioned LO agreed to a deal on Thursday. Jim Hill reports that LO called Jerry on Thursday.

    Hm... hopefully he's right.

Emplay thinks during the weekend this should be settled, and it doesn't look that bad for us.

Seriously... even if miami did offer the full MLE for 5 years... is that better than our offer of 36M over 4???

Re: Lakers had made new offer of 36/4, 30/3 to LO.

He probably wasn't offered 36 mill/4 if he wants 38/5. If the Lakers were willing to do 36/4 they would definitely do 38/5, it's just like getting Odom for a 5th year at 2 million.

The talk of him accepting the MLE, I'm guessing the Lakers offers are lower than you guys are speculating.

I wouldn't assume they'll offer him 5 years. The whole snag in the negotiations came because supposedly, we never offered over 3 years.

If they offered 4 years 36 million, like people seem to be sticking to.

I really doubt paying 2 million for a 5th year would be a deal breaker. If anything that is a better deal. I'm just guessing they weren't offering that much. I'm guessing their initial offer was 24 mill over 3 years.

It was reported by ESPN and I think Emplay that the most we offered was 3 and $27 million.

I heard the difference per year is only a couple hundred grand. Larry Coon the salary cap dude mentioned LO plays in 46 tax free games in Miami, 8 over here. The difference amounts to 200 K or so a year.

When you have a sweet tooth, a couple hundred grand is a major difference.

And LA makes a couple hundred grand extra with our deep playoff run, from the playoff pool. :]
