a vast majority of the times I look at the sportstwo.com homepage, we, blazers fans, dominate the new threads topics. Why is that? Are we just that much more nerdy in PDX?

Because 85% of the site is now Blazer fans.

I've wondered about this, as well. I think it's because the site was started by Blazer fans, and the whole point was to create a community of fellow Blazer fans. There has probably been very little attempt to make it into anything other than a Portland-centric site, though I could be wrong.

    You're definitely wrong.

The site is pretty much 95% Blazers fans. There used to be a lot of Nets fans, some soccer fans, and what not, but they all left for the most part. There are some Lakers fans, some Warriors fans here and there. Fans of other teams just post at RealGM or basketballforum.com, or team centric sites.

The Blazers community here is extremely active compared to our other ones, but the data I see shows maybe 50% to 60% of our activity is in the Blazers forum (and OT forum).

At any time I look, if I see 150 online, I see 80 - 90 in the Blazers forums.

We have always been popular for lurkers. Before the Blazers fans joined S2, we'd have 40 members and 100+ guests a lot of the time.

We get about 30,000 unique visitors to the site per month, similar numbers to before the Blazers forum became popular.

    Numbers I find interesting are:
Bayless myth being a good defender 35 posts 508 views (less than 15:1 views:posts).
Riley confirms talks with Odom 4 posts 42 views (a little over 10:1) - Lakers Forum
    Charlie V > CB4 1 post 20 views (20:1) - Raptors Forum
Romo dumps Simpson 8 posts 54 views (7.5:1) - NFL General
Miami signs Lamar Odom 2 posts 43 views - Lakers Forum
Magic close to signing CJ Watson 2 posts 58 views (29:1) - Warriors Forum
Celtics to sign Marquis Daniels 4 posts 49 views (15:1) - Celtics Forum
    The 09 Season, Pahdna 7 posts 169 views (> 20:1) - Detroit Tigers Forum
Most MMA threads are 10:1 as well.

Nah, the Portland forum was dead before you guys all came by. It used to be pretty Nets dominant. We had a period of high activity in the soccer forums but we lost a couple of key members.

Wow. Now I'm really amazed. This site was not started by Blazer fans, and yet the Blazers forum is the only one that's busy on most days?? Very strange.

If you look at new posts at any given time usually its like 80% or something, of the threads are Blazer threads.

    Right now, 19 Blazer threads
1 Spain forum thread with 1 post
    4 Laker threads
1 Celtic thread with 5 posts

Yeah, when I came here it was Nets dominant. Then they all left and you guys took their spot. It never used to be as focused on one area of the forum though.

Lol the Warriors community remains strong. From JBB to S2. We dominate late night and early mornign discussion anyhow, WE OWN THE NIGHT.

Have fun in the playoffs though, we'll see ya there in like another 15 years!

Perhaps the correct question is: Why did they all leave? Why did they come here to begin with?

Bring everyone back Dumpy before I come to Flo-rida and beat you.

And most of us are lazy so we don't post like we used to. I also lost the magic to post here.
