Serious. I'm gonna be very disappointed if he isn't. With Shaq going east, and Yao done for the season, Big Drew better step up his game. His ass better stay healthy as well. He's working out with Dwight this summer. Hope he gets tank!
He should... if Bynum consistently performs the way he did before he got injured (twice) then we dont need lamar... but id still rather be sure and sign him LOL
Definitely is possible, and I think he's the best center in the West with Yao out. Duncan probably will start over him, because Duncan has been playing center lately. If he gets Allstar status, he'll start getting less ticky tack calls against him.
Its all about his confidence and touches. The Lakers need to decide if they want him to be an offensive impact. I want him too, it seems like things flow so much easier when he is an impact offensive player.
Only true candidates will be Biedrins, Jefferson, and Bynum (if healthy and actually plays well). Bynum will get it though because of popularity, him or Oden.
I imagine Duncan will get the starting nod as the center, and as long as Drew is having a good season, I can't imagine he wouldn't get the bench nod.
^ But there are other players that i can see performing well enough to grab a seat on the west's all star bench and could prevent andrew from joining... players such as Pau, Al Jeff, Aldridge, Dirk to name a few... (Amare starting PF, Duncan starting C)
The format is G-G-F-F-C, right? I don't see many centers, outside of Duncan and maybe Jefferson, that are better than Drew.
The Spurs would contradict themselves if they list Duncan under center. They were outraged when he was listed as center a few years ago, because he was't going to get that spot thanks to Yao. Also, he is known as the "Greatest POWER FORWARD of All time."
he is? news to me. anyway i think drew will be an allstar, but the real question is will he deserve his spot or will he get it by default? hopefully he puts up "all star numbers" but you dont need them to play for the allstar team any longer apparently
I don't see Al Jefferson making it over Drew unless he's putting up 25/15, because Minnesota is going to be sucking again, and you know they frequently reward winners, not necessarily people that deserve. And Aldridge is a PF. He, at no point in his career, has played C. A couple years ago it was Pryzbilla, last year it was Oden and Pryzbilla.
