There is a history of guys like Sessions in the NBA. They play for bad teams, put up big numbers, get a 5 to 8 mil dollar a year deal, and then do not progress like people figured they would.

wasnt the same thing said about Mo Williams? He would be a nice 3rd option here.

I get that, but it's not like Sessions is putting up ridiculous points. He is assisting his teammates. One would think that would increase even more on a good team?

After the Bayless disaster in LV... I am kind of wanting to get Sessions now.

This. He's good, but not worth a big enough offer to keep Milwaukee from matching.

To me he would be worth some S&T discussions at the very least.

Bayless for a re-signed Sessions would be great.

The guy just isn't a franchise-changing PG worth $7-8 million or whatever. No one has money to pay him except us and OKC, and we don't want him. Don't know what the Bucks are waiting for though after clearing their cap to keep him.

milwaukee seems to not care too much. I think letting charlie V go proves that. They seem content with jennings. I doubt they want to start him right away but if it saves them 5-6-7 million they may just suck it up and let him go.

Frankly, I can't get a beat on the guy. I've watched him play live about 5 times and and he's been rather pedestrian each time. Other times he's lighting up Sportscenter highlights and putting up 44/12 or 21/10 and I'm drooling. To be fair, the sample size that I've seen isn't enough to make a declaration. Look at his game log . . . it's crazy. Below are his monthly averages - wild swings. Now to be fair, Luke Ridnour was eating up "would be" minutes for Sessions in December in January. But it sort of begs the question - if Sessions is that good, why was Ridnour taking him minutes in the first place? On the other hand, he's only 23 years old and already showing flashes of brilliance. I bet if he had more shooting range it would be unanimous. The guy made 6 three pointers in 79 games - that's terrible for a PG.

Maybe KP has called the Bucks and they are not interested in a S&T for Sessions. They may just want to keep him for cheap.

Then why not offer him to speed their process up?

Yea a history of guys like Michael Redd, who are 2nd rounders and go on to go to multiple all star games and the Olympics. Who happened to be drafted by the same team. A team that has a good record of finding guys in the 2nd round. :devilwink:

Maybe. But I thought the same thing with Damon Stoudamire when he came to Portland. I thought if he averaged over 9 assist in Toronto, he'd be good for double figures in Portland. He never reached 9/season after his rookie year. Actually, he never averaged more than 6.5 assist/game in any of his full seasons in Portland.

I don't think Sessions would have the ball in his hands nearly as much in Portland as he did in Milwaukie. Not with Brandon Roy to defer to.

Milwaukee has a record of matching (See Michael Redd and Mo Williams) and IMO most of the talent left in free agency is asking for too much money for what they give you.

I have only watched a few games of his too. They were not his best. To me he looked like Sergio. Good ball handler, good passer, and below average shooter. Now granted he finished better than Sergio, but his D was nothing to write home about. (Even Blake and Sergio blew by him)

Bottom line is there must be a big concern with his outside shot. In the NBA if teams sag off of you to help double team......you won't be playing in crunch time. Maybe this is the case. I really don't know much about him other than a few games.

Sessions for Mills would be even greater, but that won't happen either.

Sessions is the anti-Redd. Redd is an elite shooter; Sessions may be the poorest shooting PG in the league.

So now Bayless and Mills have the same value?
