    I think he'll be back, but maybe he is begging for a S&T with Miami so he can make more than the MLE?

    Any word on if the 4/$36 was back on the table?

    4 years keeps being thrown out there, I'm sure similar terms are still available to him.

    4/36 with only 30 guaranteed would ensure that he gets paid and doesn't get traded soon. If he wanted to make real cash 3/30 would have been great...

    I thought it was 30 guaranteed, 27 the first three years, 3 the last one. 4/40 might be money they give Lamar so he doesn't slack off though, maybe not. :[

    Everything I read said 3 years, $30 million guaranteed. 4th year was a team option with a $3 million buyout. So basically, guaranteed was 3 years, $33 million.

    It took until just yesterday to resume? I think it was probably going a bit before that but ok.

    I doubt they just resumed yesterday. Maybe formal contract negotiations, but they've had to be in contact since Miami made an offer?

    I imagine they started back up sooner than yesterday. Odom, I think, will be back. He's going to get his best offer year, he'll also have better opportunities to win, as well as more endorsement opportunities playing in LA because of the market size.

    Also, he's guaranteed to be able to play with Kobe for at least a few more years. Wade might not even be in Miami after this season.

    For 4 year / $40M I'd prefer working a sign & trade with Miami. I'd take Haslem & either Wright or Jones for Odom.

    Update ...

    A week after the Lakers pulled a pair of contract offers to Lamar Odom off the table, the sides resumed talks Wednesday reports the Los Angeles Times.

    John Ireland of 710 ESPN Los Angeles reports the best deal the Lakers had previously offered Odom was for four years and $36M, with the fourth year as a team option that the Lakers had to either exercise or buy out Odom for $3M.

    I don't mind this deal for the Lakers.
