I wouldn't, but I'm not high on Salmons. In my mind Rudy is the best player being transferred. It probably is a reasonable trade and would even out the positions. I just don't get as excited about Hinrich and Salmons as I do Rudy.
Hmmm.. I think I would fall into the "wouldn't be upset if they did that, but wouldn't be upset if they turned that down" camp. Despite what some think, Hinrich is an upgrade over Blake. Salmons may or may not be an upgrade over Rudy though. I think he is a better player right now, but he probably won't be by years end.
I wouldn't do it. Rudy is better then Salmons and I don't want to lose Blake yet. Bayless freaks me out.

I don't like it personally, despite liking Hinrich. Salmons is a decent enough player, and I wouldn't complain if he were brought in, I just don't like the price for him. I'd rather just drop him and Rudy from the deal and maybe sweeten the pot with something else (future pick?) if needed.
I'd do it. Both would improve perimeter defense, both can handle the ball some and create and they are both adequate to good 3 point shooters.
I've had thoughts about something similar to this... But to give a final answer about it... I'm not sure, it's close, but probably not close enough. One thing that I DO like about this deal is that Salmons provides some of that playmaking ability that Hedo would have from the 3, and he played great for you guys down the stretch. That said, most of the Kirk to Portland Rumors have been Travis and Blake for Kirk. With this deal, that means you're saying Trav and Blake for Kirk, Rudy for Salmons. I think another small asset or two would need to come our way... Your pick next year unprotected, maybe for a swap with ours the year after... somethin like that, or I'm sure we'd be willing to take James Johnson off your hands. As is, close, has merits, but not enough.
I wouldn't, but not because I think we're giving up great value or anything. I really dislike Hinrich and think he's not worth even Rudy.
Most of the Kirk to Portland rumors have just been rumors because I don't think the Bulls are willing to give up Kirk just to get those guys back. The Bulls have a complete infatuation with Kirk, IMO, so I don't think this trade goes down. For that matter, they seem to be pretty emotionally invested in seeing Salmons succeed too, which is another problem.
Chicago will change their tune on Hinrich as the season gets underway. It is clear to the rest of us that he does not have PT in Chicago, which means he is tradeable.
I would do it. Despite giving up Rudy, Blake and Outlaw are avg players. Hinrich and Salmons above average players. It's the old trading youth/potential for experience and proven play (Jermaine for Dale Davis) and for teams wanting to BE BETTER, you make those kind of deals. BTW I supported the JO for DD trade too. It was the right deal for that team at that time trying to surpass the Lakers. JO wasn't getting PT because he wasn't tough enough. DD didn't have that problem.
I don't think I'd love it, although I guess I could live with it. I'm not convinced that Hinrich is that large of a step up, and I don't think that Salmons is that good of a player. I'd rather keep those three guys we have. Ed O.
It looks like a fair deal. I'm not particularly hyped about Salmons, but he has two years left on his contract, enough time for Batum to blossom. Chicago getting Rudy would be really good for them. The only reason I don't shut down this offer including him is because he's not going to share SG with Roy, and he's going to be good enough to start for someone very soon, if he isn't already there. Fernandez behind Roy is like Hinrich behind Rose. They'd get minutes off the bench, but they could easily start if they didn't have stars ahead of them.
I would do it, just to get Outlaw off the team. However, there is no chance the Bulls would pull the trigger. Rudy + two scrubs does not equal Hinrich + Salmons. My assumption here is that neither Blake or Outlaw are valuable on the market in any way, shape or form. So really, you are trading Rudy + cap space in 2010 for two valuable players. Paxon isn't a complete fool, so I don't think it will happen. Too bad Hinrich doesn't play for Memphis. We could get him for Outlaw straight up if Hinrich was a Grizzly.
